Progress is coming. I "finally" figured out how to do a formula based off Dooper's formula with modifications. I'm hoping for two sets, a rated and unrated IndyCar set.

As for the set itsself, I just finished Dale Coyne Racing. All I have left is A.J. Foyt, Juncos Hollinger, Dreyer and Reinboldt, DragonSpeed, and Paretta. 8 cars, 15 schemes left.

Sorry for the lack of updates. In the home stretch now. I have had some MASSIVE help from Dooper in the ratings (and I'll reflect it in the credits), and he had a novel way of making the set, so we are going to have a HUGE amount of cars for players to choose. I am hoping this will be a great set for all you IndyCar lovers out there.

  1. Anyone can cut-and-paste, only an artist can create. In all my years in the community, this may be the first year ever that full sets of cars/trucks have come out for the top six series (seven if you count my IndyCar coming up). This this is such an awesome job by some of the best painters I know. Anyone can make a car from pre-assembled parts, but these guys have made bases, logos, numbers, nameplates. The hours spent researching the proper placement of things on the cars, and the devotion to their craft is nothing short of amazing. Is there some pre-made stuff used, yes, but for the most part all the guys I know have done quite of bit of the art themselves. I am proud to have worked with them this season. I will be probably be retiring from painting in the next few years, but it warms my heart to see such a talented group of painters in the community, especially when they get together to put out such awesome work.

The nr2003 community owes a lot to you
Thank you making so many awesome cars and sets yourself
Take as much time off as you you need
Hope you at least stick around here tho and don't just disappear for years to come
We love you : D

Very well said my friend! We owe you all a giant debt of gratitude! :clapping:

(And btw... be on the lookout for NASCAR Top Series #7 from GPD with our soon to be released 2022 WMT car set. ;))

I want to say something before tomorrow. The group of painters I am working with works as a team. It's as much of a team as one in football or baseball. I'm happy to have my teammates. That being said, you will notice I am going to credit a teammate of mine. He may not think he deserves it, but he helped more than he knows. He got the project over the hump. To me, as long as the mission is completed, it doesn't matter if you do almost the whole carset, or a few bases, you contributed just the same, and I am grateful.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE......in the CWS15 mod, you have to insert the banner in the mod itsself, not the template/flat. If it's not there in a render, that's not the fault of the artist.
For those who need -

Some of you may know, some of you may not know I am now semi-retired from NR2003. What does that mean...

I'm just going to paint when I want, what I want (Indy) with no firm deadlines.

And it frees up time for a small project I'm working on.

Not going to rush. Going to take my time and relax. I know the community is in good hands with all these younger painters.
