Highbank, I've tried several times today to get on the track, no luck, connect to server but don't have the drive button.....took the core ini out of the GTP mod since I know it's not altered, have the correct mod cars, just con't drive.

Had a fun time racing tonight. Forgot to take off my qualifying setup for the second race and lost 4th gear x'D. I'll submit my car some time tomorrow.

@Timothy Eklund (I'll bring the convo here). Do you all use a wheel or anyone using a controller? I have a logitech G27, but sometimes it's a pain to get out.

How smooth was it? Lag, etc? I really want to get in on this again.

I do use a wheel (thrustmaster). I prefer a wheel over a controller because it gives you more control in my opinion.
It was pretty smooth for me. All 3 of us were lagging a little but that is unavoidable in nr online races. It wasn't anything serious though.

The a.i cars were annoying. I got tapped in the rear twice in practice by one of the ai cars and went around (We were both up to speed). No idea what that was about. They also made some aggressive blocks and nearly caused the big one multiple times.

Of course, REAL drivers NEVER make aggressive blocks...RIGHT?

I use a wheel, wouldn't suggest anything less unless you just don't have one...I also have a G27

It's a comfort/convenience thing for me. I don't really have room where my PC is...I've set it up a few times, but it's a gigantic PItA. I can't keep it here because my work office is the same room and it's small.

I said the same thing for a long time, I just used a small joystick, it worked for a while but ultimately I felt like it killed the immersion, so got the wheel and jut put up with it laying on the floor next to my desk when not in use...never looked back, it's so much better (more real)

I love using the wheel. It's just one of those things. If I thought I could commit to more online racing, I'd probably deal with the hassle.
I dont know how many times i've said "I'm gonna hop on and race tonight" and then didn't. :(
