Deegan will be coming to the Xfinity Series at some point, but I've been thinking would she drive for SHR or could she end up running races with like Ryan Seig's Team?

Ryan Seig doesn't have a full-time driver for his 38 Car and he's also fielded a part-time 28 car. So would SHR & Ford make a deal with Ryan Seig for Deegan to drive his 38 Car and then all the drivers currently in Seig's 38 just move to the 28 or 37, whatever that 3rd car will be numbered.

Also I just thought, what if Matt Kaulig gives Deegan a contract to Join their team? We Know Kaulig has money to spend, Deegan has sponsorships that aren't tied to Ford & Kaulig brought a 4th Xfinity Car to the July Daytona Race.

That's a possibility. My guess is either a second Stewart-Haas Racing entry (00 or 38, assuming they can get the rights to the # from RSS Racing) or SS-Green Light Racing, with increased support from SHR.

Yeah I see RSS Racing as an lead option because Ryan Seig has been able to make the Xfinity Playoffs in his 39 Car, so if SHR doesn't want to pay the costs to bring the 00 team back & also want to keep Herbst, they can ask Seig to put Deegan in his 38 car. If that does happen I think Deegan can make the playoffs on points but she'll probably get bounced after Round 1

No.
I do not think that there is currently a #41 in Cup2 (Busch/Nationwide/Xinfity - whatever the want to call it thsi week,).

#1 - JR Motorsports
#4 - JD Motorsports
#14 - Kaulig Racing

Unless they'd pick #89 but I doubt that.

Hopefully, it's a better truck team or an ARCA team, I'm sorry my girl is not ready for Xfinity yet

I agree, but unless its KBM I don't see a better truck team Hailie can go to in 2023.

In Xfinity, Kaulig would be the best option because of Kaulig does have that 4th car and she would have Allmendinger, Hemric & Cassill to learn from.

Hailey Deegan to the SHR #00 Xfinity ride in 2023...there I've said it...begin your hate
-Highbank, via Shoutbox, 26th Oct 2022

Given:
- Ford contracted driver
- SHR / RSS / SS-Green Light being the only Ford teams (with 4 cars)
...then this seems like a sensible option.

However and ELI5:
Why would SHR choose the brand their cars as #98 and #00 in Xfinity when in Cup they run #4, #14 and #41?

I would have thought that from a branding perspective they'd want to keep things consistent. Also given that #14 was only run on an extremely limited schedule in 2022 by Kaulig and #41 wasn't even run at all, then wouldn't SHR want those?

Aside:
Smoke appears to be having a tilt at Top Alcohol in the NHRA; with #314, which is consistent.

98 was inherited by Biagi-DenBest (which ironically Biagi Bros had #4 a couple decades ago), before Biagi it was #41. I think they keep 98 for identity association with Biagi. The 00 is actually a holdover from when Haas ran his own team without Stewart in the 2000s.

Out with the old, in with the new. David Gilliland Racing ushered in a new era Thursday, rebranding its name to TRICON Garage and shifting from Ford to Toyota as the team’s primary manufacturer.
Beginning in 2023, TRICON Garage will have a brand new look and refocused energy in pursuit of its first Craftsman Truck Series championship. The organization broke the news Thursday in a live broadcast from their team shop, located in Mooresville.

I note that in the official photos from DGR, Ms Deegan is not in any of them. I think that we have to conclude that that door in the Truck Series is closed.

Agreed, it really seems like her options were find another team or move up to xfinity. I don't know if she is ready for that, it seems like she keeps bumping up without any meaningful gains, but hopefully it suits her well.
