I'm split on the issue, it's cool in one wat, not so cool as a stock car in the purists of ways

eh, I'm not one for touring cars, the wings made them look like touring cars, but, on the other hand, they made great, on the edge racing

I'm with you there...I've always wanted to do a carset with that kind of focus, I think they'd be cool

Hamlin nudges Logano. Logano tracks up the racetrack. Logano forces Byron into Wallace. Wallace turns Byron.
Heaps of cars get torn up.

That's stupid - especially when an engineering solution to overcoming yaw issues already exists.

Same track back in February put Newman on his lid and out for several weeks. That's stupid.

Until they figure out a way to separate faster cars and slower ones.. there will always be the BIG one.. !

No.
The Big One is a function of more cars travelling closer to each other.

I would have to do a deeper dive into the data set to see it that's gone up over time; but I suspect that it has become more common post Gen 4.

BRING OUT YOUR DEAD.

All flips:
Gen 1: 1948-1966 - 72 (3.78py)
Gen 2: 1967-1980 - 20 (1.53py)
Gen 3: 1981-1991 - 32 (2.90py)
Gen 4: 1992-2006 - 70 (5.00py)
Gen 5: 2007-2012 - 25 (4.16py)
Gen 6: 2012-2021 - 19 (1.90py)
Gen 7: 2022-date 5 (5.00py)

Gen 7 is a return to form; which actually says that the rates of flipping, have more to do with how aggressive everyone is, rather than the cars themselves.

Maybe only 5 flips, but you sure can't take it a HIT. :(

CoT without the rear wing, definitely.
Our Aussie Supercars looked friggen ridiculous with the stupid bloody big wing that they had before the new gen cars.
I say, get rid of all the aero and see who can actually drive!

They looked fine.
People objected to the S550's roof on that car because it was hoopier than the road car.
I think that if they'd just retained the Falcon glasshouse, no one would have said "boo".

I wasn't a fan of the splitter & braces... those broke.

Wing wasn't an issue for me, but was pleased to see the spoiler again in '10.

I did like the '11+ with the new lower nose piece.
