I honestly like the concept. These days I'm basically over modern realistic simulators because they focus so much on the car on track experience that they are basically hotlapping tech demos with nothing else to engage you. I'd rather something more arcadey but packed full of features and character than the Nordschlife for the 15th time.

I only really play NR2003 these days as far as hardcore titles go, and I only do short bursts of actual driving. Most sims are the same, same issues, same lack of features/polish, same buying a game in the hopes it gets better 2 years later. I just want to boot up, and just have ear to ear mouth grinning fun. I ain't got the patience to dig through config and ini files these days.

Also these "kids games" have their reasons for being as popular as they are. Easy to pick up, quick to play, lots of character, often when done well still a surprising amount of nuance and depth for you to get better at, learn and optimize.

And most importantly in many cases, the ability to sit down with friends, grab a few beers, some snacks, and spend a long night howling and laughing, cussing and hollering, ribbing and bickering. This is something that in the internet age has been lost IMO. The inviting friends over to a house(or nowadays over a discord live chat) and just enjoying the moment.

Heck I still play Pokemon, nothing wrong with some mindless simple fun. Why does Mario Party and Mario Kart still have their followings, which grow every year? People may grow up, but that doesn't mean you can't let the little kid inside of you out once in a while ;)

I feel we need more well done indie racing games that don't take themselves too seriously or make bold, pretentious claims, and just focus on why we play games in the first place. The Fun
