So what I'm thinking is this...it requires a little more work to set up but it could be fun.
To emulate a Green/White/Checker scenario we need to edit the track ini to set up a 3 lap race. The easiest way to do this is to change this line in the track ini:
(I'll use Papy Texas to demonstrate and we;ll use it as our test track to see how this goes over)
"default_event_laps = 335"
to this:
"default_event_laps = 30"
In game settings:
Race Length: 10% 3 Laps
Number of ai cars: 7 (you'll drive the 8th car, this ensures you have a shot at getting to the front in three laps)
AI Strength: 85% (let's make it easier this first try)
Temp: 70 degrees
Wind: 0 mph
Pitting: 1x
Flags: Full
Damage: Realistic
Now we'll practice then skip the Q session so we'll start P8, then start the race and try to win the thing from the 4th row!
I can just attach an edited ini if that is easier for folks, just rename the original and drop a new one in?
Hopefully then folks could upload the three lap race or just give a play by play on what goes down in the three lap GWC Challenge...
