Johnny Cecotto, Graeme Crosby...
I am pretty sure that both of them have driven touring cars and been a 'former Daytona 500* winner'.

*winning at Daytona on a 500

Re: Kyle Larson and an apparently sponsorless #5 car... I think it's bunk.

I expect to see at Daytona:
#9 - Napa
#24 - Axalta
#48 - Ally
#5 - Valvoline

I reckon that Rick Hendrick is a clever bean, and that he's probably using the fog of war to either attract some other sponsor with the enticement that they can have a whole car, or that he's using the fog of war as a way of quietly concealing the fact that he's already tied everything up; so that maximum hype is maintained when the #5 is finally revealed on race weekend.

Dare I suggest that this is even more massive and that Hendrick might have attracted a proper works deal with Chevrolet?

I like the Valvoline sponsor for the #5.... but as of today, no sponsors listed for the #5. :(

Why would you announce any when you can hold that out as a carrot for a potential suitor with big pockets and an equally big chequebook?
Good Call Rollo, I think that's spot on what they're are playing at

I am disappointed that they used the old number device and not a new Aachen style number. They could have also gone for a Geoff Bodine style number but they did not.
