In the video you can see how the shadow from the cars starts clipping in a perfect line. This is only on the insert replay window not during a race or on the replay window in the full screen mode. This is happening on all mods and all tracks. I will add that it didn't start until I installed ReShade and uninstalled. Everything has been removed and I have tried every possible change I can find to make without any progress. It's not a breaking problem, only a distraction but it's aggravating that it wasn't happening before. Thanks for any looks this might get.
Forgive the potato video, I don't have any screen capture software.

As I understand it, because the game is old it doesn't play well with modifications when certain shadows are turned on. IIRC shadows on cars from trackside objects is the worst, followed by shadows from cars. Reshade seems to be a big one that they fight with. I don't know how to fix it, but what you might try doing is turning off all shadows, run a complete race, and then turn shadows back on one by one to see if they will work again. I highly recommend keeping shadows onto cars off, as the game struggles to keep the shadows right on moving cars.

I have the same problem. The good thing it's that this clipping issue only happens when you're not fullscreen (in the nr2003 replay mode). Just go fullscreen in replay mode and it should disapears.

I will try turning everything off this evening and try that. It’s definitely something global because it happens on all tracks and mods. And yes broy48, luckily it is only in the inset replay screen. I think through all of my many searches trying to find a fix I came across a post from you having the same problem.

Quick update, turning everything off didn’t do anything. I’m still thinking something global, so I downloaded a new shared folder hoping that might be it but nope. I have my original disc still, I’m thinking of doing a separate install and trying to swap out things one by one this weekend.

Sometimes going back to basics is the best way to find out what's wrong. Isolate the potential problems piece by piece.

In your player.config file check to see if CarMegaShader and ShadowVolumes are turned off, sometimes having these two setting enabled can cause glitches.mega.png

I had high hopes for a little while Bill, they were both set to 1, I changed to 0 but unfortunately the results were the same.

Did you check both your config file and Player_The config file.

Hot dang Bill that was it!! I never thought to check them both (big surprise I know lol) but you have solved me problems!! I can't thank you enough. It's funny, I was thinking before I got home to try your fix about how long ago it was that you first helped me in the DRT days when I was wanting to learn to paint and I had no clue what xfont was about lol. Now here we are 20+ years later doing it again, thank you!

Have a look at the fix that Bill figured out to see if it might help your problem also.
