Running from USB

Has anyone had much luck running NR2003 from a removable drive like a USB?

My poor little laptop is eventually going to crumble under the weight of Windows 11, so I'm wondering if running from an external drive is feasible.

I have an install of NR2003 on my external USB hard drive and it runs just fine so I don't see why it wouldn't run on a USB thumb drive. At Wal Mart you can get a 2TB thumb drive for $19.99

I have no problem with external hard but I still use XP and win7
