Richmond 2018 BB-MC: no record?

Hi all,

Got an issue on Richmond 2018 BB-MC, and cannot find how to fix it:
Whatever I do there (from testings to a complete race), there is no record for this track in my playrec.ini...
Cannot keep a record of AI strength, and so, cannot use it in a championship with auto AI...

Do you ever experienced that, and how to fix it?

Haven't heard of that either. Open the track.ini and see if the track name or top info section looks like anything may be off or typo. Did you have other Richmond tracks that perhaps it is recording it under another Richmond track?

Track.ini first lines:

...

Yes, I got other Richmond tracks, but running at this one does not change anyone... And still no "Richmond 2018 BB-MC Night" dedicated section in my playrec.ini...
I even tried to create one in the playrec.ini, but it does not seek information there.

Try taking out the "tm" for trademark in the track name. Perhaps that special character is missing it up. If that doesn't work, shorten the track_name_short to something like "Richmond BBMC" as what it has might be too long

The "tm" isn't going to cause that problem. All of the original Papy tracks have that in the name.

I have a feeling that the culprit is the "-" (dash) between the BB and MC in the track name. The only way to find out would be to go into WinMip2, unpack the .dat and remove that "dash" from the .ptf and .cam file names in the unpack folder. Then rename the track folder itself to "Richmond 2018 BBMC Night". Also, you'll need to open that .pck file, scroll down and find "Richmond 2018 BB-MC Night.dat" and remove that dash between the BB and the MC. Then repack the dat with Winmip2 and place the new "Richmond 2018 BBMC Night.dat" file into the "Richmond 2018 BBMC Night" track folder. See if that makes a difference.

Ive noticed this happens at all the BBMC tracks, so you may be right.

Any chance youd be able to make a fix for the Chicagoland night track? That's the other one I've noticed with the dash that prevents it from showing in the ai season editor.

I can do it, but probably not until later or tomorrow sometime. It's actually quite easy to do.

That dash "-" is a pesky bugger in nr2003. It will even mess with N2003DATter05.exe when you are trying to clean up a track folder while building a track. NR2003 understands the Underscore symbol "_" but hates the Dash "-".

I've had the fixed versions of the track and sent it to those who asked about the same issues, but I don't know why we never re-uploaded the track on our site. I'll work towards do so those can just redownload from the site.
