Hi guys, I'm new to this forum. First of all, I would like to thank you for the fantastic work you do on the site. I apologize in advance, maybe someone has already asked but I wanted to know if there is or can be made a trainer or a program to enable a button as a speed limiter for the pit lane, as in IRacing.

Not that I know of. You have to manually keep your speed under 70 or whatever the limit is.

Best I can think of is to set first gear to hit the chip at whatever your speed limit is but that would certainly compromise the rest of your gear ratios :p

Hello !

Thanks to OKKIO for asking the question.
When I drive on any oval, I slow down too much (5 mph under the limit for safety) and I regularly lose at least ten places in the race classification ! So my question is: is there any way to slow down the speed of other cars ? Through the ai ? I guess the answer will be negative because I've never read anything about it.

The only way to get the AI to go slower would be to lower the limit. Of course, that would make you have to pit at the lower speed as well. My personal preference, online, is for the limit to be 200 MPH (no limit) and offline for all tracks to be 70 MPH, but I run eras before pit road limits existed.

Best I can think of to get better at holding your speed during pit stops right at the limit is the "P3 method" (practice, practice, practice). Use the 's' key to display your speed and practice getting off the track and down to pit limit right at the pit entry line, over and over and over again and eventually, it will become 'natural'. I always use "happy hour" to practice pit stops since the pit location will be different than practice and testing sessions.

Good luck, have fun!

Hello !

Many thanks to you ZiggyM. Your advices are precise and precious.

You don't know how valuable your advice is. I've already been the first to enter the pit lane and then to watch almost every car overtake me!

I never thought of working on my pit lane passages. So, I will opt for the "P3 method". You are right to insist on repeated practicing. I hope that little by little, I will improve my pit lane passages.

I wish you a pleasant Sunday.
