So I had originally planned to upload downloadable carsets of the 2022 cup, xfinity, and truck series (and potentially 2021), using schemes found on here and nnracing. After reading your posting rules, how does getting permission work? Do I have to ask every individual scheme maker for permission? And how should I upload my proof?

Yes, show me the e-mail or text message you receive from them. You can also add me to your pm message if done here.. It's a big task, so good luck.
Also, you just joined us yesterday, I guess you didn't read the terms and conditions, just checking the box, but you hid your age, which is not allowed. Do not hide it again.

I dont think you need to do a truckset because the guys that are doing it are doing full fields for every truckset they release... Just lettin you know

Oh ok, I was mainly compiling the martinsville and bristol dirt schemes, as those aren't in car sets. Thank you for saving me the trouble though!

So, let me get this straight, you want to download cars from other source sites, zip them up and use our bandwidth so other can download them instead of going to the other source sites?

I think he means to gather them all up for convenience's sake. It would be a big task getting all the permissions, but if successful that would be pretty nice.

While I don't race the AI, race ready carsets would be cool for offline events. Make sure there is a roster in there for loading the correct cars.

That's all fine and dandy, but if he's going to do this kicking in $10 a month for the bandwidth would go a long way. Most if not all of the car sets here were painted and made, not just collected, but painted and made by the guys who give the most money to the site.

So, I realize this isn't quite the same thing, but the nr2k3.weebly site has a table that keeps track of schemes for each race and where to download them. The downside is you still have to download one by one, and there is always a risk that a link will go dead, but the upside is it is easy to find a car you are missing (or something close to it) and he posts links to where it can be found, rather than the download itself, which negates needing to find permission for these things.

Also, at the risk of facing a ban hammer, I gotta ask. Tom seems to really want people to post downloads, and Tigg seems to really not want people to post downloads. Which is it?

Original self made content, not a compilation of other peoples work, there's a big difference.

Well as others have stated, I thought this would be a convenient and future proof method of collecting every scheme, as instead of downloading every individual car, my zip file would contain every car for the season. I would try to keep it constantly updated, so a user would only have to make one download weekly instead of multiple. I already have nearly every car currently available, so it would only be a matter of obtaining permission to upload my file. But I completely understand that bandwidth costs are high, so I'll refrain from posting it.

You can always make yourself a mediafire account, post your set there and add a link in our downloads. That way you take the heat from the original creators if they object to their work being included. I just don't want the hassel for that kind of headach each and every week. Also, we don't have unlimited room for every weekly carset for every series.
