NR2003 Troubles with 'Drive'

  • You DO NOT need an account in order to download the content that we host....ONLY make an account if you plan to be an ACTIVE member.
  • After a lot of thought and conversations within the community, we’re happy to announce that Stunod Racing will not be shutting down. The incredible support we’ve seen from all of you has played a huge role in this decision, and we’re truly grateful to everyone who values and contributes to what makes this community so special.

We’ve been exploring ways to manage the costs of keeping Stunod Racing up and running, as the current expenses felt unsustainable. We considered moving conversations to Discord or creating a standalone site for file hosting, but those options didn’t really fit what most of the community wants or the experience we aim to provide.

Here’s the plan moving forward: Stunod Racing will remain open, but we’ll be making some changes to how files are hosted. There will be a few upfront costs during this transition, but these updates will help reduce our expenses over time and make things more manageable in the long run. We’ve been working with a few members and programmers to figure out the best solutions, and while there are still some details to iron out, we’re confident we’re heading in the right direction.

Thank you for sticking with us and being patient as we work through these changes. With your support, we’ll ensure Stunod Racing continues to be a place for creativity, collaboration, and connection in the racing community.

Stay tuned—we’ll share more updates soon!

I installed NR2003, then I installed Patch, then I installed No-CD .exe from this site. Booted up, but when I pressed 'drive' it crashed. So I disabled secure boot in BIOS, then I disabled DEP through command prompt, booted up the game, but when I pressed 'drive' it crashed again. I have rebooted my PC and tried it dozens of times, reinstalled NR 2003 twice and tried different update links, nothing works. I have gotten many old games to run before on my computer (GPL, F1 Challenge-VB, GTR2, rfactor, etc.), most with dozens of mods, but this NR2003 has me stumped.

Check some of the other posts in this help section, go get the Hobo Racing "no-cd" exe, works with win 10.

I've read through several and I am using the Hobo Racing "No-cd" exe, linked from one of the posts on this site, doesn't help my issue. (And yes, I removed the original .exe)

You have to do the comparability thing, as Windows 7 since that's what the patch was made for and run as admin, this information is posted several times in this forum, I'm not putting you down here, I just know I've typed this several times.

I think we need a sticky on the does and don't on how to get NR2003 to run on various Windows systems.

I have already tried every compatibility setting, including Windows 7, still crashes when I hit 'drive'. I have not had a single issue booting up the game, but it always crashes on 'drive' even with the Hobo Racing "No-cd" .exe, admin rights, and windows 7 compatiblity. I just tried it again to be sure, and it crashed once again.
