I still can't believe how great this sim looks after playing for 20 years. Looks awesome that you were able to dial in the settings for your system.

Can you share what you found please? My settings are pretty good but I still have a bit of an AA jaggie and I don't notice any in yours.

OK, I'm running Windows 7 Pro, Have an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050ti vid card w/4 gb memory, using the 4 gb NR2003 patch, have compressed all car files with winmip2. Here is my files in a zip for you to look at. Compare my settings to the ones your using on your system. I'm not saying these will be correct for you in all cases, unless you have the exact same system as myself.
I do not use reshade as I've seen more people having trouble with that than it benefits the game, but to each their own.

As usual, make backup copies of files before changing anything so you can always go back.

Tom, Thanks for info. Really appreciate it. How did you calculate the memory in the core.ini and the TextureSetSize in rend_dxg.

Thanks so much for this! I run on Windows 10 and I think on Windows 7 I had better luck with the graphics for some reason but I'll give these a try. I run everything through a Nvidia GTX 1660 and it definitely renders differently than the GTX960M on my laptop.

I used the texture set size formula and then started adding a little bit by bit until it started crashing , then backed it down a notch.

I used the formula and had a problem with shuttering, not crashing, set texture set size back to -1, hasn't happened since. Have Win 11 16gb ram, hp gaming computer. I'm going to have to play with it also, doesn't look bad the way it is.

I've only done INI changes to the core, player & rend_dxg.

While most sites/vids say 'AnisotropicLevel=0', I use 'AnisotropicLevel=8' and that cleaned up a lot of the blurry painted lines etc on most tracks for me.

I did see a vid that said set to 9 and I had done probably a month ago.

One thing I haven't asked about is the lines that go from a dash then full, almost like a candy caneish or barber poleish way if you get what I mean, I don't know what to call it but getting rid of that would be nice.

The nvidia control panel settings that @garrett1127 put up worked for the lines and the overall quality.
