I get an "error starting config.exe" prompt when I try this patch. I've always just played it off the CD but with win 10, after the pc hasn't been restarted for a few days, it won't start the game when I click on the icon.

After a lot of thought and conversations within the community, we’re happy to announce that Stunod Racing will not be shutting down. The incredible support we’ve seen from all of you has played a huge role in this decision, and we’re truly grateful to everyone who values and contributes to what makes this community so special.
We’ve been exploring ways to manage the costs of keeping Stunod Racing up and running, as the current expenses felt unsustainable. We considered moving conversations to Discord or creating a standalone site for file hosting, but those options didn’t really fit what most of the community wants or the experience we aim to provide.
Here’s the plan moving forward: Stunod Racing will remain open, but we’ll be making some changes to how files are hosted. There will be a few upfront costs during this transition, but these updates will help reduce our expenses over time and make things more manageable in the long run. We’ve been working with a few members and programmers to figure out the best solutions, and while there are still some details to iron out, we’re confident we’re heading in the right direction.

If you read threw everything suggested in this thread and it still doesn't work your best bet is a complete reinstall. Move your tracks and series folder to another location, delete the entire sim and do a fresh install from the disk, then get to two updates and install them, then install the no-cd patch, then move your folders back.
I was having the exact same issue and your advice worked. I just found out about the No CD patch and reinstalled the game, but I had forgotten all about the two updates. I bet Josh Wooten forgot about the updates as well.
really dosen't work on my pc even My safe boot is disabled and i turned off dep and deleted my original.exe and raplace with the no cd patch goddamn it
Did you reboot your computer after disabling dep? You need to reboot in order for the dep disable command to take effect.

I for the life of me can't get this to work. I have not tried a fresh delete and install, but other than that.
When I go to my DEP, my game is not there. This no CD patch with it off will get me into the game, into a race screen, then crash. If I turn DEP on, the game won't start at all.

I have the Nocd patch and a few edited exes that all work fine without dep. But I'm trying to use the Physics editor exes, and I'm not thrilled about turning DEP off. Does anyone know what to do? I'm trying to make an "all in one" pack, if you will, of NR2003 content so you can have some sort of career mode. The late model exes are old as dirt though, but they feel awesome and I don't want to have to not use them.
