Wasn't it already decided that they use sequential with stick shifter ?. They never test paddle shifter iirc.

How can you have a H pattern sequential? (Is there a car/series that has this?)

I've always known to be either paddles or a stick that you punch up/down.

Who are you asking? I mean, I'm no engineer, but a "H pattern sequential" sounds like a soup sandwich.

I see a fine coming... Kyle Busch really bashed the Next Gen Car... He said be ready for single file racing.

I'm not looking forward to that.

Question is, has he driven it IRL? Or just in iRacing. Because iRacing's version is terrible and is an early beta at best.

Kyle won the first COT race and was critical of the car... it's just Kyle being Kyle (not a fan, love his talent).

NASCAR can't be filled with 'PC' & 'Yes' members... someone needs to rock the boat or shake the tree.

But it's NASCAR... so probably a fine and super secret probation.

I don't think Kyle has driven the Next Gen Car yet, but think about it... Everyone will have the same car, no more team fabricators, every team gets the same car in a kit.. Engines already the same HP between the manufactures thanks to NASCAR rules. SO the only thing a team can do to be different is in the set up and that's just not going to be enough.

So, be ready for single file racing and zero passing for the lead. NASCAR is getting what they want, everyone equal and more teams in NASCAR.

I'm posting here in stead of starting a New thread.... Did anyone watch the Next Gen test at the Roval yesterday? I did, In My Opinion... The cars are ugly, don't look like race cars and they even look slow... I don't think I will ever get use to the car number placement... I'm still trying to figure out where 80 HP went... Short Tracks and Road courses get 670 HP(down from 750) with low spoiler and Intermediate tracks get 550 HP with 8 inch spoiler... Super Speedways info coming??!!

I just hope NASCAR knows what they are doing... I say passing will be less... Not looking forward to next year.

Some days, I just wish I would wake up in the morning and see Gen4 bodies return to NASCAR again.
Only in my dreams. :\

Do you really want the Twisted Sister's to return? That's stuff of nightmares. :p

No.
Just a reminder...a ton of people thought NASCAR was off its nut when this came along...NOW...it's looked upon very fondly

OPEN YOUR MINDS FOLKS! You too Kyle!

I've said this before.

This solves both the rear view problem with the "big ass spoilers" and the wiggle-wiggle problem because of nudging.

Those to massive end plates/fins act like the shark fins in a bunch of series; and was used famously by the Porsche 956/962

Lockout gates.

Unsynchronized manual without the ratchet mechanism and without the selector drum.

Lockout gates mechanically open and close, so that only one up and one down from the gear you are in, are selectable.

The lip of the rear deck lid is 173mm above the plane at the intersection of the B-pillar and the belt line.
The rear spoiler at superspeedways will be is 210mm above the lip of the rear deck lid.

210 + 173 = 383mm = 15.07"
The 50th % for a human head is 197mm = 7.75"

No-one ain't gonna see nothin' out the back of these things. It's a one way ticket to a mad man's situation.
