I'm lowkey hyped for the Valve Steamdeck. Not neccesarily because I'm a hardcore gamer, but the fact that I could play my many NASCAR/other racing titles on the go. If the major emulators come to the hardware(and the software on the steamdeck being Linux based they likely should) I would be able to play most of my PS2 NASCAR titles, as well as GranTurismo and others.
Though the biggest thing is that since it will essentially be a linux gaming pc in a handheld frame, there is a faint hope of getting NR2003 on there. Imagine playing NR2003 on the go, from at work to on an airplane.
NR2003 already works fairly well with controllers with some tweaking(I often play using an Xbox One controller when I cant be bothered to set up my wheel) and getting NR2003 working on a linux system has been done by several people without major hiccups.
Though it sounds stupid, NR2003 as a handheld "console/mobile" game, the old saying goes ,"don't knock it 'till you've tried it!"
