Montreal FSE pit problem

  • You DO NOT need an account in order to download the content that we host....ONLY make an account if you plan to be an ACTIVE member.
  • After a lot of thought and conversations within the community, we’re happy to announce that Stunod Racing will not be shutting down. The incredible support we’ve seen from all of you has played a huge role in this decision, and we’re truly grateful to everyone who values and contributes to what makes this community so special.

    We’ve been exploring ways to manage the costs of keeping Stunod Racing up and running, as the current expenses felt unsustainable. We considered moving conversations to Discord or creating a standalone site for file hosting, but those options didn’t really fit what most of the community wants or the experience we aim to provide.

    Here’s the plan moving forward: Stunod Racing will remain open, but we’ll be making some changes to how files are hosted. There will be a few upfront costs during this transition, but these updates will help reduce our expenses over time and make things more manageable in the long run. We’ve been working with a few members and programmers to figure out the best solutions, and while there are still some details to iron out, we’re confident we’re heading in the right direction.

    Thank you for sticking with us and being patient as we work through these changes. With your support, we’ll ensure Stunod Racing continues to be a place for creativity, collaboration, and connection in the racing community.

    Stay tuned—we’ll share more updates soon!

Can anyone of you experts help me? I am updating the graphics for this track, almost done, but for some reason the cars get their tires, and then the just sit there. It's like they're serving a penalty or something. Tried everything, swapped lp's ,swapped track ini. Nothing works. I remember clermont had the same problem.

I love the track!!! great work!!!!

To eliminate the pit entry penalty:
[ AppRuleEnterPits ]
pit0_entrance_point0_dlat = 6.20 ;was 24.00
pit0_entrance_point0_dlong = 4140.00
pit0_entrance_point1_dlat = 24.00 ;was 6.20
pit0_entrance_point1_dlong = 4140.00

I don't have any problem with the #1 pit (stall_0) receiving service or incurring a penalty.

Same pitting problem. They just sit there. Tried everything no luck. Thanks!

I worked on this track a long time ago. I have no idea exactly what I did.
I have a track.ini with this note:
; gtp
; modified pit values for clean pitting

I had a catastophic failure of my desktop pc some years ago. I've transferred files to a new laptop. NR2003 works, but not this track for some reason.
I cannot get the track to run in the game or open in sandbox, so I have no way of checking what these values might do.
IDK if I've created a new ptf with corrected pit subsurfaces to accomodate the new extended pitstall layout. I have a track folder that seems to indicate that, but I'm not able to check it out. I also have new pit lp's, so I've had it working at some point.

For now, try the track.ini pit values below. It would seem the " +++++++ 's " probably indicate what's been changed.

Thanks, but a couple of them,(2nd, third, and I think 5th stall ) get tires, then just sit there. I don't have a clue why.

I have the same problem with Clermont not opening in sandbox so I can't check surface definitions around pit lane. What you could try is to turn the appruleenter points into comments.
Add a ; in front of those 5 lines so it looks like
;[ AppRuleEnterPits ]
; pit0_entrance_point0_dlat = -4.500
; pit0_entrance_point0_dlong = 7991.0
; pit0_entrance_point1_dlat = -10.00
; pit0_entrance_point1_dlong = 7991.0

and see what happens.

It might make it impossible to clear black flags but it's the lesser of 2 evils :)
Still strange that sandbox just closes when I try to open it, the .ptf does open in 3dsimed but as far as I know you can't see surface definitions in there.

That worked! Thanks guys!

That makes me think the pit lp's are not properly located to have the ai go through the track.ini "entry gate".

Try these lp's.
