October 8, 1950 - Fighter Sweep over Wonsan
Mission #14 of "Screaming Eagles Over Korea - https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49345.0.html
Total SNAFU - When given command to attack, Panther #2 rolled left and Panther #3 rolled right, colliding canopy to canopy
Seconds later, with no enemy engaged, #1 (player) had a turbine failure and fuel leak (no ground fire, no gun fire, unable to restart, it just quit)
#4 ejected over Wonsan after engaging 8 enemy aircraft (4 Yak-15 and 4 Yak-17), #3 and #2 were lost to mid-air collision over Wonsan, #1 dead sticked to the Sea of Japan, ejected and was recovered by SAR

October 11, 1950 - Strategic Strike: Wonsan Railyard
Mission #17 of "Screaming Eagles Over Korea - https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49345.0.html
Yak-15 #02 was harassing one of the Corsairs in the strike package so I answered his "Get him off me" request. I engaged at long range to let him know to quit bothering my USMC brother in the Corsair.
Watch closely at 0:51 (full screen) and you'll see him punch out (he's the little dot departing the aircraft). In real time, I didn't see him punch out, thought it might have been debris, so I was still in chase mod when his aircraft impacts Terra Firma at 1:12.

October 12, 1950 - Bombing the Bridges at Toko Ri
Mission #18 of "Screaming Eagles Over Korea - https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49345.0.html
I was flying #4 with a flight of squids, armed with 4xAN-M64 500 pounders. And it looks like those 500 pounders had some long, 9 to 10 second fuzes (not my ideal, since I like to dive bomb with 3 to 5 second fuzes). You can see the flight's misses, between the bridges, on my approach. It looks like I scored hits, but the bridge didn't come down until a USMC Corsair dive bomb attack got it.
The flight leader had us loiter, climbing to 30,000 feet and circling, for the next hour. Meanwhile, 50 miles to the SE, a flight of SPADs was jumped by 4 Yaks and unded up in the Sea of Japan.
(When/if you fly this mission, make sure you are the flight leader so you can adjust the fuzes and help the SPADs instead of loitering for an hour)

Catching the last wire is still catching a wire! Grumman is tops in making durable landing gear.

October 22, 1950 - Combat Air Patrol
Mission #20 (of 20) of "Screaming Eagles Over Korea - https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49345.0.html

Campaign Hints - Some missions will not let you be flight leader, wingman or element leader, or change load out. For hard core players, don't change your assigned slot or loadout because the mission will start with your plane blowing up.
Taxiing to the catapult is very difficult. It's best to hit autopilot and then turn it off once you're on the cat. If you do taxi and park perfectly, you may not know you're on the cat, there is no msg to let you know, so if you remove chocks to move again, it will launch you, possibly with wings folded and engine at idle.
Air boss will tell you that you are clear to land and another aircraft might be right under, next to or above you, landing. Make sure you know where everyone is because they will land on/with you if you aren't careful.
I can't recall a single time I landed and got the 'mission accomplished' msg, which was very annoying. I had to 'quit' the mission, which counts as losing the aircraft and halves the mission score.
Have fun!

July 16, 1916 - Clermont Aerodrome - Bomber Escort near Verdun
Mission #3 of 11 - "Flyboys" - https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,55130.0.html
Engaged 4 Hun Fokker D.II, damaging 2 which caused them to catch fire and crash (after expending all ammo and heading for home) bringing official total of downed Hum aeroplanes to 7.
N.17 was damaged during the engagement, gear collapsed on landing. Pilot unscathed, aircraft lost.
Note to C.O. Merci.
