Having a problem with the Cup 90 Blender scene

Does anyone know why my renders look like this. I've tried almost everything to fix it.

Yes, it's something like backscale culling. It has something to do with the interior poking our of the exterior. I don't remember the steps off hand and am at work so I can't go through it, but the video below is where I learned about it and how to deal with it:
