I won't have my feelings hurt regardless, but I'm partial to the lexan spoiler seen on super and pro late models. In general I'm just more partial to super lates than Late Model Stock. I certainly think those that have added to the lifespan of LMPv2 are deserving of an updated late model stock mod and have certainly contributed more than I ever have to the community. But I also think it's worth noting that we have never, ever, ever had super late models for NR2003. The Snowball Derby is the biggest late model event in the country and it would be cool to finally be able to run the event in NR with correct, or at least mostly correct cars. I do understand the agrument that a solid color spoiler can be messed with in photoshop to attempt to give a lexan appearance, but I always feel like it never looks quite right. That's my opinion though. Many others may feel differently.

Still, I don't feel like it's really my place to specifically request one over the other. Any additional short track mod is a plus, especially given that late models have kinda taken a backseat to other forms of racing. But I personally prefer lexan.

Would be great to model all this detail, but that could hurt the poly count.

IIRC, you could split the mesh up into 2 pieces, allowing for more detail, while still being under the poly limit, as while a single mesh needs to be under 1000 polys I don't think there is a limit in the amount of meshes you can have (though NR2003 being an old software can't handle anything too crazy, but still).

This is all what I've heard from guys like Mystical and the S&G who have more experience than I do, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Maybe one of them can elaborate a bit more.

Shading on the templates can take care of some of those details like the "indents" on the hood and the upper and lower grills of the Mustang and Camry as well as those lower side vents. The Camaro nose is a completely different animal though with its recessed headlight and upper grill.

I understand where you're coming from. Late Models with Lexan spoilers far outnumber the Late Model Stocks, although the CARS Tour is very popular and paints are still being cranked out. A part of me just says "go Lexan" and deal with it being incorrect for any LMSC. We've dealt with the opposite for nearly 16 years because, in reality, Todd Garren, the creator of LMPv2, modeled them after the LMSC. However, having the solid spoiler allows for various options of spoilers. I'm around new and old LM bodies nearly every week. While I've seen the same design of supports on the Gen6 cars, I've seen them be aluminum, black and even red. As for the older bodies, which I hope are the fourth model in this mod, I've seen a number of different supports in various colors. The gray that has been used on the LMPv2 templates looks wrong. I certainly agree with you there. That's why I played around and came up with something that looks a little more "glassy".

That's definitely nicer than anything I've seen prior. Definitely a lot better than the gray. Would be something worth looking into on the new one if/when it happens. Regardless, appreciative of whatever we get. Excited to have something new in the late model world for NR. Not gonna make a fuss over a spoiler. lol

With so many opinions, I have decided...it is my model, and this is how it will look, minus the high poly wheels which get changed for nr2003. It has split lexan spoiler, but for nr2003, it will be a template option. Still a long way to go, modding is very "time expensive".
