the Whelen Cup is done and after 50 races Lonsdale won the championship by 569 points (a created driver based on a friend from GTR2) My Avatar finished 13th so a better result than I am used too. I loved this series.....Was a lot of work finding tracks that work correctly. Many had pitting or yellow issues but now have 50 different tracks in that season file that are great. Fields from 26 to 43 cars. I have also downloaded the 358 Late Models, the 358 Big Blocks, the LMPV2 and Outlaws GNS mods to run short track/dirt track series on. I would like to figure out the right settings on the first tracks to have the bag end slide out a bit for a bit more realism, but without a ton of accidents. I have watched videos and it looks like it is a matter of getting the inverse slipcurve_K setting to a proper setting.

Next up is a 50 race series with the LMPV2 mod with 10 drivers of my own in the field.

Finished the LMPv2 mod series..... The number 60 car of Shaw won the championship. My Avatar finished 5th, so an improvement. The great thing about running the short/dirt track series is editing the dirt tracks so the cars slid into the corners.....It is a very fine adjustment....on one track when I lowered the inverse slip setting in the first corner every car slid off the track and made a massive pile of metal in the wall. Just like in GTR2 the editing things to my preference is the fun thing to do. Starting a Outlaw series now at 51 races. 53 cars in the series with quite of few of my created drivers in it. I also googled famous short track drivers and added 4 of the guys I found and gave them good ratings.

Just finished the best championship I have run so far. The Outlaws Mod. Wasn't decided until the last race.... 3 cars dominated the series. 14 Galwinksi won the series, 21 McClure finished second only 73pts back after 50 races. Third was 44 car of Babbitt. Those 3 cars won 39 of the 50 races. My avatar finished 6th with one win and 23 top tens. Was a great series to watch. Worked on all the dirt tracks to get some sliding in the corners which works pretty damn good. Next series is going to be the 358DirtLM mod. 39 cars is all I can find for this, so will sub in 9 of my normal created drivers into the field with 30 of the mod drivers. Will be the 50 race series that I have been using (made it even 50 instead of 51 races) I am using the Daytona Beach track for a race (100 miles) and 2 races at Daytona Dirt which is a fun track with the little bit of sliding involved. My avatar will be in the 21 Rockstar car.

Editing driver for the 358LM series....All drivers came as 40/60. As this is completely fictional, I randomize the drivers using dice. Minimum will be 60 and use a die 20, 12 and 8 for the max rating totaled and added to the 60. I think for the last series in the dirt/short tracks series I will run (358 modifieds) I will use the70/80/90 method and then roll a die 10 to get the final number. On a die 8 I will determine the initial rating (1-4 70, 5-6 80, and 8 90).

finished my 50 race 358 Late Model series.....Came to the last race again...My avatar and Tony Stewart are the only two who can win it and I have a small lead going into the last race.....Stewart needs to win at Illiana and my avatar needs to finish down the order....but it ends up a moot point as my avatar won the race with Stewart in 7th. Finally have a championship to the home team. The difference was 35 top tens for my avatar to 33 for Stewart and 5 DNF's for me and 7 for Stewart....

Going to start the 55 Dirt CTS mod as a 50 race series next....would like to use the GNS version as from I read GNS is better at short track and dirty's, but beggars can't be choosers and I can't find cars for the GNS version but have 53 cars for the CTS. Have to thank Mr. Norton for helping me with the Milwaukee dirt track.....works perfect Sir.

After this one I am going to do the 358 modified series.....will try the 70/80/90 for ratings.....how I will do it is roll a D6 and 1-3 is a 70, 4-5 is an 80 and 6 will be a 90 for each of the driver ratings. So if Driver A gets a 70 for Agression I will then roll a D10 to add the ones side, so a 6 will make a driver have agression of 76 etc. The minimum number will be 30 less from the high rating so on any given Sunday (or Friday night) anyone can theoretically beat anyone else. A 99 driver on a short track will have minimum of 69 so the worst driver with a high of 70 can still have the rating ahead and hope for luck. .....for car ratings I use a D20 and the base it 75 with the die roll added to it. Pits are base 60 with D12 +D8+D20 to high rating and 50 being minimum for all drivers.

Need to thank everyone who has helped me move forward and giving me ideas.....It is GREATLY appreciated..........hell I haven't touched my 12 versions of GTR2 since the day I loaded NR2003 back up on this rig. I only wish I could still drive the cars, but my blown out shoulder doesn't allow that.

The 55 Dirt Mod series is completed....#67 car driven by Block won the series by 695 points with 10 wins and only 3 DNF's. 37 top tens again shows consistency wins championships. My avatar finished 7th with 7 wins and 11 DNF's. Next up is the last dirt/short track mod I have the 358 Modified series. I have to really thank John Norton for all his help/advice/recommendation for good tracks for my series. The 358 Mod's series will be the first time I use the 70/80/90 system for cars, but I have done that system for every driver rating not just an overall.

Finished the 358 Modified championship. Came down to the last race....My avatar had a 104 point lead going to Illiana for the "Finale 200". My avatar DNF'd within 10 laps so it all came down to the second place runner having a great race.....He did but came up 5 points short. Scott Philippines won 7 race and had 27 top tens....The second place driver Enos (friend in real life) had 9 wins and 29 top tens but he had more bad results. Going to do the Supersprint Outlaw Mod next. 50 cars in the field using the 70/80/90 ratings system I use with dice rolls. Really need to thank John Norton for all his track advice for my series.

The Supersprint Mod series is completed. Larson won by 443 points over my avatar even though he started two less races. Consistency again...10 wins 28 top tens did it for him with only 6 DNF's. Next up is the SST mod. Making a new series file to put in the tracks that will hopefully be more in line with the SST's.

Finished the 73 Cup Series. The great young driver John Norton took the series with consistency. He won only 1 race but had 31 top ten finishes in 55 races with 16 DNF's. My avatar finished second with 11 wins, 25 top tens and 21 DNF's. Starting another original cup series with 55 races including a European leg using my hybrid 70/80/90 system. I have a bunch of rally/SST tracks to test for the SST series thanks to the help of the community. Greatly appreciated guys.
