Just finished a 47 race series with the 1963 cars. Joe Weatherly absolutely dominated the series winning 27 races and clinching the title with 9 races to go. I added in 10 drivers (friends and family including myself, my AI car finished 14th). I used as many of the older tracks I could find, but had to remove a few as the cars didn't race well on them and then substituted newer versions of them in. Have to say the 70's North Wilkesboro track is outstanding and the dirt track Monroe County Fairgrounds is a great track to watch a race on. Now going to get on the 69 Cup series with 29 races scheduled.

I don't watch Nascar anymore since they started stages and playoffs, so the newer series will come later. I love the ICR mod with the European car styles and the mish mash with the F1 drivers and Indy drivers. Made a series with that mod with a European leg with Spa, Lemans, Monza, Hockenheim and a few more. 50 races in that series.

I want to thank all the mod developers and track makers for their outstanding work. I have been in GTR2 for the last dozen years or so and this community looks a lot more friendly than that one definitely.

Have a 88 Aero series going, a 90 Cup series and an original cup series going also. I am getting 10 races a day in (run 10% then sim "accelerate" 20%) I have 10 created drivers racing with the drivers that come with the mods (friends and family) Right now an original cup series is running in a 50 race championship. Loving running the AI championships after being away from NR2003 for so many years. Thanks to the guys who guided me on how to max out the graphic settings. It is amazing at night races to see the lighting effects go across the cars around the tracks in night races.

Download the MENC19 mod, and wow, are those beautiful cars. On race 20 of an AI championship and Stenhouse is first with a narrow lead. Found the thread on making the AI better at road courses on page 21 of the General tab and what a huge improvemnt the "raciness" of the tracks.

Really enjoying being back in NR2003 even if I can't race anymore. Thank you to the community for keeping this legend of a game fresh.

This game absolutely has some of the best and most customizable AI, which is why you are far from alone in sitting back and letting them run the show.

Finished a MENC19 championship of 53 races....Won by Hiteshew (created driver based on a buddy I have known since childhood). Consistency did it. 33 top 10 finishes. He had the championship won after the 51st race. My driver finished 40th (laughing). My avatar started only 33 races and had a horrible season. 1 top 5 and only 2 top 10's. Never led a lap. But I love the Detroit Auto parts car. Good old number 12. (Grew up north of Detroit). Now running a Cup98 championship with 36 races. I think I will run another MENC19 championship with all the tracks I have found as "recommended" in the forums. Really loving the sim after all these years.

The Cup98 season that had 36 races is done....Mark Martin won the series taking the championship after race 35. My avatar managed to make the field 25 races and finished 30th in the championship. Now on a GN69 series that is 29 races long. Still having a hard time believing how good the game looks with the graphical fixes I found in the forum.....

The GN69 series was completed....Lynch (another of my created drivers) won the championship with Yarborough finishing second....Good old Ford number 76 of my avatar Ainsworth finished 3rd. In a 29 race 88 Aero series now. My avatar is in the ugliest car on the field, the 55 Ford Thunderbird sponsored by The Pits.

Just finished a Cup90 season....49 races including a short European leg to promote the sport there. Winning the series was Cole Trickle. My Avatar finished 27th for the championship. Finding tracks that I really am not enjoying and swapping them out with other tracks to find (to me) is a great mix of tracks for a season.

finished a 50 races series using the ICR mod. Martin Truex Jr. won the cup with a strong finish in the last race at Homestead. Lewis Hamilton finished 2nd 86 points back and Tony Stewart 3rd at 106 points back. The series was a mix of F1, Nascar, and Indycar drivers along with 10 drivers I created based on my friends/family. My avatar finished 43rd only starting 30 races with 2 top 5 finishes and only 3 top 10's. Dnf'ing 9 times sure didn't help either. Next up is a Classic Late Model (GNS) series with 39 races.

Finished a 33 race series with the Aero88 mod using 1979 cars.....The winner was Millikan, 2nd was R. Petty, and 3rd old DW. My avatar finished 37 only running 19 of the races and getting a win. The most wins were 4 by DW and B. Parsons. Going back to the CWS15 series that is 36 races and 9 are already completed. The thread about making road course races more "racier" really helped.

The CWS15 is a great series. Outstanding racing.....Rohrbaugh is dominating the series, up by 414 points 21 races in out of 36. My avatar is running 3rd. Have an interesting issue though. After every race when I hit done it doesn't go to the final results page with the music, it CTD's, but no harm no foul as when I load the game again it is set for the next race in the championship.

Finished the CWS15 series of 36 races....Rohrbaugh absolutely ran away with it, taking the series with 6 races to spare. He won by 1227 points. 6 wins and 26 top 10's. Consistency wins championships. He has decent ratings but far from the best. My avatar finished 8th with one win. Having 10 created drivers makes the series seem personal as I generally put the camera on my highest placed created driver when I am watching. Now on a NCS22 series using the F1 carset. It has 53 races with a European leg to let the fans see their F1 pilots race in American tanks. Added 14 created drivers for a total of 50 cars in the series....In a perfect world all 50 cars could get a qualifying attempt. Can someone explain how the 43 cars are picked, well 42 and the "player" car. Is it completely random or is it based on randomness and the qualifying rating? My avatar is the #41 Coldstone Creamery Mustang. Of course with narcissism I rate myself an outstanding driver, but my equalizer is low reliability.

The F1 Cup I am watching from the NCS22 mod is outstanding. At the halfway point 3 drivers are within 50 points....Verstappen, Hamilton and Leclerc. In the European leg now. Just ran Milano, starting Spa now.

Finished the 53 race Ncs22 mod F1 carset championship. Lewis Hamilton won the series with 2 races to spare. Consistency took it with 8 wins and 23 top 5's and only 9 DNF's. LeClerc was second and Verstappen third. My avatar finished 21st starting 42 races and getting 1 win. Moving to an original cup championship with the original N2003 season. Have to say I loved the F1 Carset for the NSC22 mod. Great seeing the European makes. Would be outstanding if NR2003 kept team scores also.

The original set series is coming down to the last race at original Homestead. Reiss (created driver based on a friend) is leading Mark Martin by 60 points. This should be a great finish

What a great finish to the 2003 cup. Martin did great finishing 3rd but Reiss won the race to take the championship. Reiss won by 82 points with 4 wins and 20 top 10's. Martin actually won 6 races and had 21 top 10's but disappointing results cost him in the end. My Avatar finished 18th with 1 win and 11 top 10's. This has been the closest series yet I have run and I really enjoy the look of the original cup cars. Just loaded another version of NR2003 (that makes 6) and this one is NR2003 Modifieds...I have never ran any of the modified style cars and going to give them a shot. The series is the Whelen cars with 50 races. The tracks are dirt tracks, short paved tracks and a few 1 mile tracks for the big events. 50 cars make up the field including 11 created drivers ( I run 10 to 12 custom drivers each series).

The Whelen cars a fun to watch. Great looking cars and they race nicely. Problem is with a lot of the tracks I am trying to use. Many problems. Some won't load, others have pit issues with cars not leaving the pits. One track had 90% of the field dnf'd by lap 10 (tested it 5 times) and a few had an issue where the race wouldn't stop or a yellow wouldn't end. Not a problem. Just finding more dirt tracks to replace them with and if they have issues, rinse and repeat.

I downloaded a bunch of them. Had to get rid of 8 so far for the reasons mentioned. Just had to delete Big Diamond because of pitting issues, looking for a replacement now. Going down the dirt track list at the NR2k3 site. Trying Selinsgrove next
