Oh wow thanks, you should definitely consider. Posting, lots of schemes I know I would kill to have for my simulations’
I'll probably do 2-4 more cars, then release them as a pack. I don't typically release my cars due to a lack of polish as personal car's don't need to be as perfect as a released product for the public. But these I have full intention of putting out there eventually.

Next up for this project is a handful more Dodges, I also plan on making a COY version of the #23 Sonoma and #98 New Hampshire cars before release.

First up is Scott Riggs Valvoline Dodge primary, based on his entry in the Samsung 500 at Texas

Next up is his Stanley Tools car based on the 2007 Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta

and finally the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Dodge as race in the UAW-Daimler Chrysler 400

These cars had some creative liberties taken, due to the real schemes being on the COT. BUT I wanted all my cars on the good ol' Gen 4, so I went ahead and adapted them.

To start off this 2 pack showcase, Butch Leitzinger based off of his entry from the Toyota/Savemart 350

and last but not least, Boris Said's #98 from the second New Hampshire race translated over to a Gen 4
98-Boris-Said-Valvoline.png

Now with the final cars for this batch out of the way, the RELEASE of Part 1 of my 2007 carset! Each car has ratings and a Pitcrew to complete the look.

I'm back on the hunting trail with my cars, as I continue to try and fill out the grid.

Here is Kurt Busch's Miller Lite primary from 2007, based on his Michigan win. With accurate driver suit as with most of my cars.

That’s the best I’ve seen. Shame it won’t be released.

I've been continuing to shift gears around, and this time decided to make a template for one of my favorite mods.

2007 David Reutimann Domino's Primary
00-David-Reutimann-Domino-s.png

This template has custom decals, shading, and even subtle a metallic layer, and to test the creation is David Reutimann's 2007 Domino's car that split the season with the Burger King Colors.

Amazing work! May i ask, where do you find the vector art for the Base of these cars?
I draw them by hand in GIMP using reference photos, and a lot of checking carviewer. I tweak based on how the carviewer image matches up to the photo.

Just need the basic knowledge of GIMP's path tool to get the results seen above. Of course more advanced cars need gradients and usage of the airbrush tool for shading/chrome/metallic, but the path tool is a mighty tool indeed.

Of course NR2003 being NR2003, and no models being laser accurate, liberties are taken in places where lining things up exactly is tricky. What you do in those situations is a call that can only be made with experience.

wow by hand? makes your amazing work even better. I use photoshop, its hard for me to do lines with the mouse.
I love that burger king car you made.

Here is a car I worked up today. I started with the David Reutimann base, but ended up basically redoing the entire thing from scratch anyways :coldsweat:

Introducing 1999 Champion Dale Jarrett's UPS Toyota, his first and only full season with MWR.
44-David-Reutimann-UPS.png

and as a bonus extra, a fictional 2007 cup version of the 2009 SK Motorsports 07 car (I chose Jarit Johnson, Jimmies younger brother who ran 2 races for the team, as the driver) The number is flipped to #70 as not to conflict with Clint Bowyer's car later down the line.

As you can tell, I love this mod, wonky nose mapping and all. And yes, the MWR cars do have silver rims, the CV doesn't show them.

Not NR2003 related, but today I made my first 2D showcase layout! This was a fun project that put my shading and designing skills to the test. I'm very happy with how it turned out, now to make the other cars (or maybe I'll save that 'till later ;) )

Intrepid Finished.png

I did borrow some parts from the S&G_05 Intrepid template, primarily the wheels, light decals, exhaust and valence bolts. Stuff that I couldn't make myself or would have been a lot of time for very little payoff.

So while my Mock Season efforts have been stalled out for a year I've still been painting concepts for future use. (I have about 50 2006 cup cars, and 10 2006 BGN cars) Today I will showcase some 2008 concept cars on the BR2012 mod.

Most of these are JGR cars, all of which have alternates

Joey Logano Home Depot Orange Variant.
02-Joey-Logano-Home-Depot.png

This was the second(or third) car I did for this mod, and is one from a while back. I was not fully happy with it, so more recently I created...

Joey Logano Home Depot Black Variant.
02-Joey-Logano-Home-Depot-B.png

This is more in line with his IRL Home Depot car, and as you'll find out shortly, this is basically the Home Depot/JGR standard base that most cars are based off of.

Bobby Labonte Interstate Batteries.
18-Bobby-Labonte-Interstate.png

Ol' Labonte is the (very) preliminary driver of this car, which is basically the standard Lighting scheme (taken from my 2007 Yeley paint) with black added to give it a bit of edge. Probably one of my favorite cars of the bunch.

Bobby Labonte Boniva.
18-Bobby-Labonte-Boniva.png

Boniva sponsored the 18 in 2005 and 2006, and I figured they might end up staying past that. This is based more on the colors of the 2006 scheme.

Bobby Labonte Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil
18-Bobby-Labonte-JGR-Driven.png

This car is for the races in which Labonte doesn't have sponsorship (Interstate will likely scale back in 2008)

Tony Stewart Home Depot
20-Tony-Stewart-Home-Depot.png

The original car to bare this base scheme, simple but it works

Tony Stewart Husky Tools
20-Tony-Stewart-Husky-Tools.png

I felt like Tony also needed an alternate, so have this gunmetal grey, silver and red Husky tools scheme.

91 Various Drivers Riley Technologies
91-David-Green-Riley.png

and finally the only car not from JGR, but still a Toyota nonetheless. David Green is the likely canidate, but being a small team a rotation of drivers is very possible.
