First off Condolences to the Gibbs family I can't even imagine nor do I want to the range of emotions they went through in the last 24 hrs.

With the passing of Coy Gibbs, the last of Joe's kids who had a management position and Denny already a team owner with a different team as well as not resigning Kyle the only other prospect who had ownership experience this really could be the end of this team. Keep in mind Joe is 81 years old and after this does he even have the desire to keep going with the team? Jimmy Makar could take over all racing operations but does he keep the Joe Gibbs name? also what does it mean for Ty's future? lots of questions.

Honestly there will probably be a lot of gray areas on that. rn i dont entirely see a downfall in the next year or 2 but if they dont catch as many breaks it could lead to an eventual downfall.

I mean their team is poised to be very young
you have (potentially)
C bell
Ty Gibbs
MTJ retiring soon replaced by most likely a young driver
denny hamlin as a veteran presence or leaving for his own team

In terms of drivers, I think JGR has the potential to be good
management I have no idea

I mean at some point many of these teams are going to disappear. It's unfortunate but it has to happen eventually. As the current crop of long term owners age and eventually pass on, their teams will begin to disappear. We have years, not decades, left with guys like Petty, Roush, Gibbs, Wood Brothers, Hendrick (to a lesser extent), Childress as well.

JD and Coy were going to suceed Joe and take over the company after JD's passing Joe had to step back into a more operational role and Coy came over to the Nascar side. Coy was then on the path to take this over as Joe was stepping back. There is no one to pass the company on to. I don't see Joe just handing the company to anyone even Makar who has been there from the start. So it would have to be a buy out. Yes they have drivers but the ship lost its captain. Joe will be 82 in a few days. Honestly I think this will affect Ty the most as his future was completely laid out up until yesterday.

No.
Jackson Gibbs was on the box of Christopher Bell's team at the weekend. I guess he's the logical step for the proprietary business?

I don't think JGR is going anywhere in the near future.... but with Busch leaving, MARS leaving and the lost of Coy, I do think they took a step back. Will they preform well next year, yes :)
