Having done every possible color combination I could think of, I decided to ask RAH if he could maybe recreate my FS2 base. Again, he agreed and soon I had a layered base to play with. The sample I showed him was my own version of a grey to black gradient (as pictured above) so that is what he created. This turned out to be an interesting development as I now had 2 different gradient layers to play with. I have used both on both of the original bases and again in a variety of shades of black or gray.

Here's a sample of the FS2 base with the silver to black gradient layer taken from the FS1 base.

So, at this point I have built enough of these FS1 & FS2 cup cars along with a dozen or so alternate bases that I can change up the paint job for every race which, helps to keep it fresh and interesting.
My next move was to ask RAH if he could recreate the FS1 base for the NXS20 mod and again he quickly sent it along.
I had of course attempted the transfer on my own, with some level of success. However, having the layered base allowed for multiple versions of the NXS20 Mustang and I've done a number of them.
I've had wins in both of these rides.

I've done a lot of experimentation with this base on the NXS20 mod and recently created a blue to black gradient car.
I kind of like the look but to be honest, not totally sure how I did this.

I did sort out how to utilize the grey to black layer on this car and made a few variations

This car was an experiment to see if I could duplicate the gradient to black using a different color.

I don't like it as well as the Blue to Black but I don't hate it either .

I run the Toyota Camry in my off line seasons prior to 2019.
I decided to do a few updates to my rides. Both my FS1 & FS2 designs featured

I recently decided to add a 3rd fictional teammate to my race team for the 2021 season.
I think it turned out ok. I assigned my own previous race number to the ride

(I see I neglected to fix the drivers suit again)

I consider just about every car I do as an experiment, and I don't really consider myself as a "carpainter" as I don't do my own bases.

I do however, continually modify cars / bases to see what I can do. Many are very similar as I regularly reproduce cars using the same 2 or 3 bases. And occasionally use another base for a "one of"
I play around with altered color schemes and logos. And when I actually race, I change up the paint scheme every time which keeps it interesting and fresh.

Here's a few I recently did. Renders thanks to TMS. Bases by Paint by Rah and modified by me. All logos via google and modified by me

Drove this car to a Richmond win this afternoon.
I've had this car back in the paintshop for touchups to original once or twice
