Nope
Alright, I assume this is probably general knowledge but I'm not all that bright so I need some help. I have started on modeling a Tesla for ncs22 and realized that I have no idea how to connect a template to the actual model in blender. I know that it has something to do with materials but thats about all I know. I'm probably getting ahead of myself because I haven't finished modeling the car yet but I would still like to know how to do it so that once I get to that point I have something to go off of. Let me know if you need more info, its kind of hard to explain.

When you mean 'modeling the car' are you making a custom model or just trying to make a render scenes from an existing model? If you are doing a render you'd simply import the model (converted) into blender then set up the scene and textures to make a workable render scene. You'd only be making a custom model if you were making a custom car/mod.

A custom model, making the car and the template from scratch

You'd need to make the model first then UV unwrap it. You cannot create a texture without the model being unwrapped so you know where the UV's on the model are.
