No.
Self-proclaimed NASCAR pundit Eric Estepp posted a video (Link:

) with the rather clickbaity title of "Best Throwback Yet?" in relation to Trackhouse's throwback schemes for 2022.
This form of questions as headline, is itself a throwback the golden age of newspapers and especially the scandal sheets. It took until 2009 when Ian Betteridge, writing for Technovia magazine, finally codified this as law. Betteridge's Law of Headlines states that: "Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word 'no'."

Are Trackhouse's throwback schemes, the "Best Throwback Yet?" I think 'No."

I personally think that Kevin Harvick's 2016 Darlington throwback to Cale Yarborough's Busch scheme of 1979 is, but then again I think that practically all throwback schemes are a tacit concession that whatever that team has now, is rubbish. There is after all a very good reason why Calsonic blue has been roughly the same since 1988 and continues for its 35th season.

What is the best.... there's only one way to find out... FIGHT!

Nope an iconic paint job would be one where the car accomplished something like wins or a championship while painted in a certain livery.
