Mod: Updated pit crew, war wagon, official, and fuel can.
Things: A new pit template that contains all the equipment along with a different suit for each crew member so we can customize the crew more, like making Kyle Busch's M&M's crew in all their multi-colored glory.

Can be done with SS.net or Smiffsden pitbox update.

Wagon is just a template. Official is just a mip, fuel can... you'll not see the detail (new can model) in cockpit and a mip update does on the job in replay.

No.
A thing that I wish I had would be skills necessary to cut out and replace sections of track in Sandbox without the transitions being mega janky™.

I want the Chase gone from Bathurst and goodness knows how many times I've cut out this little appendix.

Yes I am aware of the 2 war wagon mods out there, I have the Smiffsden one. And yes I know that people have created templates to make the old models look closer to modern design. But that's not exactly the same thing as updating the models themselves which was what I was referring to.

That would be really cool, having the crew wear different suits. It's not only helpful with the 18 crew, but for many teams the position on the crew will have different uniforms, or in the case of composite crews. Unfortunately I don't think NR2003 is capable of handling that much extra rendering

While the pitcrew model is a touch clunky and the joints not as fluid as should be, for an 18+ year old game... it's still mostly the same with todays crews.

There is INI files out there to remove the Catch Can member and no Official.

Now, I wish the gas man had a closed visor helmet like N2k2, LOL.

True, I'm already running into memory issues with uncompressed 4k paint schemes. I'm also not sure if modding the crew members is actually possible because of the animation. But we can dream.

That is true. It is 100 times better than the character models in some other early 2000s games. Mostly I'm just wanting a new template for the crew. The models are tolerable at least. The wonkiness of the template however... is really starting to get on my nerves. Lol

yeah, people wonder why I don't paint crews unless I am for sure releasing something. For personal use I probably will barely see them, don't run long enough races, or barely any races for that matter, for me to notice.

No.
I figure that if you've got the assets that you've just made a livery with, then the extra 15 minutes or so is worth the effort.

At bare minimum, colour code the crew and put the number on the lollipop.

is there a snow hill track

Ice Planet 2002 count? It was posted here (the link is external because the filesize was huge). Though I'd say that's less of a hill and more a mountain... and it has neon orange fencing...

1-a Mod -- N1 bodies, complete with the janky LODs, because it would be funny.
2-a Track -- Mos Espa
3-a Thing -- A better lighting engine, so that light cast from lightboxes actually illuminate the ground properly so I don't have to deal with stupid light map textures for Zanarkand. >:EEEE

(main reason Ice planet isnt exaclty what i was talking about is that the track surface isnt snow but it is still a very nicely made track Cynon)
