The eNASCAR College iRacing Series powered by NACE Starleague is a collegiate simracing league officially sanctioned by NASCAR and iRacing, and hosted by the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). Drivers first compete to try and become one of the 40 fastest drivers on a track, and then those 40 get to race it out for a shot at a share of $60,000 worth of scholarship money.
Fall 2022 competition saw drivers race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Auto Club Speedway, the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, and Nashville Superspeedway, with Steven Wilson of the University of Iowa winning all four races and raking in a total of $14,000 worth of funding. For those that follow the eNASCAR scene closely - yes, this is the same Steven Wilson that drives for Stewart-Haas Racing in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series and made it to the Coke Series Championship 4 this year. Buschwhacking in a collegiate exhibition series. For money.
The series is returning for competition for the Spring 2023 semester, with shares of $60,000 worth of scholarship money once again on the line. This upcoming semester will see drivers continuing to use the NASCAR Xfinity Series cars, this time at Iowa Speedway, Dover Motor Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, and Daytona International Speedway.
