Alternate City Horizon: Dresden Squarev1.000

This is an alternate example must have 8k horizon for a city track from HDRI Haven/Poly Haven.com (Thanks Guys); and shows you just how amazing having these in your tracks really are.

This Dresden Square edition makes it look like you are in Gotham City.

-I will be uploading each separately as these are heavy; I have used ultra compress, and each download is different from the last one.

-I was going to colour the sky to show the NR2003 skies but it didn't quite work as the transparency was not working on a file this big, Besides, the files also will be updated in the future e.g. if they actually do night versions, in same location. I will be doing sky files for reflections on each for cars etc (the _environ files).

-Gravis City is just an example, it just so happens to suit all (bold) of them. Also, I do not have my own city yet. You should definitely use these for fun on your tracks, as they are good. Johannesburg Central is still my main one for gravis, as my preference as it suits it the best. My other favourite is Dresden Square; you should check it out.

-You may notice that it changes your track to look like it is in broad daylight; this is the fake-day effect in action on a night track. Fake day means a night track but with invisible lights, and the sky textured as day to create an illusion of day.

-Remember, the flipped version shows the writings and how they appear on the non-flipped example, of your track. I have decided the idea is, if you are using two tracks that are similar, e.g. Gravis, It would actually look like it is in the same area.

-Priority is whacked up to 4 as usual for a sharper image in WinMip2.

Installation

Place the alternate horizon folder in your track folder so you do not lose it. Place each horizon folder named Horizons 3D and keep a digital note on whether they are flipped or not.

Simply Place in the stars.mip, horiz.3do and sky.3do in your track folder outside the DAT file of the track (or any night track if you like!).

If Track has files Outside the DAT File + Unpack Open

Remember to back up all the original horiz.3do, horiz01.mip, horiz02.mip, horizon.mip, ground_n2k3.mip ground, sky.3dos and mips first, (If GPL horizon, it would be: horiz0.mip to horiz11.mip, ground.mip, horiz.3do, sky.3do, sky.mip), then place the alternate stars.mip, horiz and sky in it's place, do the same if you also have unpack open in your tracks folder.

This is an example of how it looks on Gravis City (Suggestion)

-I am currently using/recommending Flipped for Zone 7 and Non-Flipped for Zone 11

However, really it is up to you how you use it.

Bugs

Not really a bug, but you do see more of the horizon with PTA physics. (Same with any XL horizons).

-I am planning to release these for general usage and other exclusively for my tracks. These are all free to use on your tracks without directly asking me. Enjoy them!

-I will also (bold) be uploading each of these in "temporary night" i.e. dimmened, if you rather want a night version (dimmened though GIMP). The only issue with that is where there are buildings; they should be lit up in the horizon.

-Don't get me wrong, but I think for track makers, it is a possible illusion and a way of getting around the 3000 polygon limit for intricate buildings. I mean, look at those church buildings, stunning is not it. I love these things, WOW.
-Amazing that Cynon found or made the 3dos for these,

-Who knows where Papyrus games is going right now, maybe one day we'll see 16k skies for NR2003. I hope that as technology improves there will be more free sites like HDRIHaven.com, even fictional ones. Actually, it is already clear enough - (anyway)...

-I'm going to begin to do lots (bold) more track work, possible 3dos and updates in the future, so keep a lookout for my work.
