August 21st, 2007, the 3M Performance 400 started after two days of rain delay, and fans couldn't be happier. That day was important for a multitude of reasons, it was one of the last races before the 2007 Chase starts, drivers looking to impress the manufactures of Detroit, and another more important reason.....
Chevrolet was celebrating 50 years of the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, and doing it in a very unique way. Hendrick Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Incorporated, Joe Gibbs Racing, and others ran special schemes for the event, while not every member on Hendrick and Gibbs followed the party, there still were 11 1957 Chevy Bel-airs that showed up to race, while only 10 competed, an issue for Scott Wimmer and the #78 team made them not quick enough to qualify, Jeff Gordon lead the field to the green on the brisk and cloudy Tuesday. While a certain blue deuce may have ended up winning the race, a '57 Chevy did manage to finish runner-up, the #1 of Martin Truex, Jr.
Now for what I believe to be the first time, all of the 2007 1957 Chevy Belair tribute Monte Carlos are available for NASCAR Racing Season 2003.
These cars specifically are for the SNG Cup 05 mod, but can be converted to the other two versions if needed.
I worked hard to get these cars as accurate as possible, and if there is enough interest, I will continue work on the rest of the Chevrolets that ive deemed, the Party Poopers. If there is also enough interest for the '57 Bel-air Templates arise, I will release those as well.
I personally wanted to do something special and unique for the NR2003 community as a way to give back for the things the community has given me, I hope this car set does manage just that, and that you will enjoy it, and hopefully love the work put into these cars. I have been working on and off on these cars since April 2021, and managed to get the complete and finally am able to release them to the public!
