1982 NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series carset.
Carset is in honor of the late Sam Ard (February 14, 1939 – April 2, 2017)
The series was called the Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series in 1982 and 1983, the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series from 1984 through 2003, the NASCAR Busch Series from 2004 through 2007, the NASCAR Nationwide Series from 2008 through 2014, and is now called the NASCAR Xfinity Series today.
In 1982 there were only 8 drivers that made all 29 races, another 16 drivers raced 10-18 races, and 155 drivers that raced less than 10 races. Jack Ingram battled with Sam Ard and ended up the '82 champion with 7 wins and a 47 point lead over Ard (difference probably being Ard's 5 DNFs to Ingram's 4). Ard would go on to win 2 championships of his own in '83 and '84 with Ingram finishing 2nd in both years.
Carset consists of 62 cars total, 52 paints, 8 alternatives, and 2 player cars to choose from if you haven't painted yourself a car yet and 1 roster.
