For the first time, ISCRA enters a new era beginning with the 1981 season. Downsizing has forced the series to adapt, with manufacturers offering brand new models with shortened wheelbases and a focus on being sleek and aerodynamic. On the track, Eddie McCarthy looks to defend his 1980 championship from fan favorite Larry Massey, grizzled veteran Clint Kelly, and AMC teammate Frank Olsen, while young independents Paul Allen and Troy Houston look to break the status quo and start a new youth movement in ISCRA. Who will come out on top in the most anticipated season of ISCRA ever?
