Hey everyone! Here's my attempt at Buddy Young's 1969 #31 Ford Torino that he ran in the 1970 Motor Trend 500 at Riverside International Raceway in the NASCAR Grand National Series. Buddy unfortunately rolled this car several times on lap 37 of the race, effectively ending his cup series career just shortly after being signed to DeWitt Racing Enterprises. A rough scheme for his crew/pit box is included as well. I had a little trouble getting the template to cooperate so I ended up with an inadvertent strip right under the door windows, but I kind of like how it looks. I had to wing the fonts for this one, I'm not an expert so I just eyeballed them. And due to the limited amount of pictures available, I only included the contingencies that I could identify for sure. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Enjoy!

Looks great! I've thought about painting this car, but I was too busy with my 1969 carset. Then I started a new set, but I ve been having computer problems. You should have snagged the Torino Talladega grille from one of my late 1969 cars, it comes from a real period racecar.
Woo! A great scheme, good job.
You just know what seeing this car makes me have to do...I was there by the way...
