Dave, I got your car keys and took the thing out on track today :D Here's some setups for all you guys, and a video around this great place! I just had some time tonight to do all this, so wanted to make it a nice and easy lap but I messed up going wide in Turns 1 and 4. But, at least you can pretty much use these setups as a base for any track.

AC setups are saved into Documents folder, so just unzip these into Documents or open the zip archive and drag the Assetto Corsa folder from it onto the Documents folder. It's got the Assetto Corsa/mod/car folders structure built in for each particular car and should appear for you in AC garage. It's a race setup, with just enough fuel for our race distance. I take it we should be running 24 or 25 laps tops within 40 minutes. Each car's default setup is pretty good on its own, with a bit softer or stiffer suspension here and there. There's not much to fiddle with in the garage anyway, so I usually just change some things that make it turn in a bit better and gain some more time. Most of the speed is learning just what your car can do on a particular track, where are your braking points, how much speed to carry through, and setting your line on track for good corner exits so that's what I spend most time with. A bit annoying that it's so easy to lock the rears when braking hard and slide the car around but at least with our race distances the tires are never an issue. Those vintage tires hang on well.

Some hints: Turn one kink, just slightly brake and keep off throttle, line up for second turn kink and stomp on it only when you hit the apex. Don't "use" the sand because it's made like glue and slows you down. Watch out for humps after Echo Valley accelerating out of turn 5 left-hander onto the back straight with kinks. The car wants to hide in the woods. Next, you should either lift or brake slightly through that third kink there, or you probably won't make the next corner. Make sure you're going straight when braking for it. Through the long hairpin, you can try and use some throttle to steer the car around it, even drift a bit. For the last turn I start slightly braking just before the crest, try to straighten the car towards outside line and then brake for the corner and apex.

Mick, I think its default setup is very good, maybe that's why I ran with the Javelin to record that one lap. Plus, the 39C temps you guys ran the race in, I'm guessing it was pretty slippery for all. I recorded that lap with 25C I think. Good job again, Justin! And Dave too!
