Im just giving you guys a hard time. Hope ya'll feel better soon! Me and John got on for a couple hours. Game is a riot!!

Still trying to figure out some of the details, like getting damage fixed.. Normally it fixes the damage (By either clicking "return to pit" or just entering the pits and letting them fix it) but the hood/bumpers/paint are still banged up. Which is realistic! But then, every once in a while, it'll give you a fresh -new- car? Haven't figured out how to make that happen yet. Possibly by moving from your pit stall and just stopping and getting the "dq for lack of progress" (or whatever that message is.) Then getting back in the car? Still not sure though. Ran out of testing time..

* I left my car parked in the pits on the server. Practice is set for 24 hours. I think if someone stays on the server it'll keep track of anyone else who logs in and runs laps? But I don't see an option to advance the session, so I guess if we want to qual/race we'll need to exit and re-setup the server? Little stuff like that is what is lacking in this sim..
Wow. I left my car on the server, too. Just went back...it's a Monsoon! Puddles and all! Complete with fog blowing across the track! Talk about fun driving!

a 20 minute practice session is not practical as we are sorting this out, if you hit the pits and start messing with your set-up the session ends quickly...

Hey Andy, have you given any thought about not going to college but instead a trade school, college in my opinion is a big waste of money and debt you could do without. A good accredited trade school would be a much better option than 4 years of indoctrination.
I actually have, and still am considering it. The benefits are that it costs a lot less. Many people think they have to go to college to be successful, but that is simply not true. They have the mentality of graduate at all costs, which leads them into debt. The purpose of the paper was to show that you could get through college debt free. before writing it, i thought that it would be impossible. It is still hard work, but possible.

Welp, sitting on the server only keeps it active for so long. (no clue how long though) Just checked and it said I'd been disconnected. And once everyone leaves, it resets and you need to go through the motions of setting it up again. :confounded:

My running AMS2 will be limited until I figure out how to keep the wifi going to the rest of the house while playing, none of the fixes I found worked. No this PC is hard wired, but it still cuts the wifi.

- Can you run Assetto Corsa Competizione online, w/o it affecting the wifi?? (Seems like it'd have similar bandwidth demands as AMS2) Join a public server and test it.

- What -router- brand/model are you using? What -modem- brand/model are you using?

- Does it completely cut/KILL your wifi or just make it weak/lag?? Does the wifi improve if she's closer to the router?

- What is your down/up Mbps internet speed? Internet Speed Test (Test from your ethernet wired gamepc, as well as your wifi device that's cutting out)

It does it with P Cars 2 also, I guess I should have said it cuts the wifi either on or off line play. I was told the telemetry thing did and I turned that off, no joy. ACC doesn't cut anything.

Netgear WNR 2020, I have no choice in router, it's the only one my provider uses.

It pretty much kills the Roku and her phone lags badly. This house isn't 900 square feet, so nothing is more the 10 to 15 feet away from the router. I'll be moving everything around after the new year.

I have 25/5 internet and get those speeds on the PC's, the highest my provider offers and it's dsl also. If you haven't figured it out, I live in a small ass town.

After a ton of reading I'm just going to have to get a better router.

So it kills it even when your running offline? And it's only AMS2 and Pcars2 that does it? ACC runs fine?

You mention telemetry. You talking about this (below)? And if so, you've tried all the various combos?

Maybe try reversing your ethernet cable. (Swap ends that connect to your pc and router) Probably won't do anything but worth a try if everything is accessible. Seem like that router should be fine to me, if it's functioning properly. Have you called a service tech out to see if it could be something with the router itself?

I bought all new cat-8 wires and heavy duty dsl wire at the same time earlier this year.

I'll be forking over another $100 plus bucks for a new router.

Got a new modem after the storm in August 2020.

Is your router a combo modem/router? Im not familiar with DSL, but if they're separate pieces of hardware, any router should work. (Internet provider shouldn't be able to dictate what router you use) With my provider, they offer a router and charge a monthly fee for it, but I decline that and get whatever router I want. I use an Arris Surfboard (combo modem/router) I know that won't work with DSL but the Surfboard series of routers is good for gaming..

I'd still call and ask if they can swap your current router out under suspicion that it's faulty. Don't even mention it's only 1 game that screws it up, just tell them when you game (on ethernet) it kills your wifi and see if they'll troubleshoot it for you. Good luck bud, we need you out there with us!

DSL is dial-up on steroids' to put it simple, it's over the phone line but separate from the phone line.

I'll be out there, just not as much as I'd like to be until I get the better router, that's the most common answer for this problem for any game/sim. If that doesn't fix the issue I'm at a loss. I'll probably be contacting my ISP after that. They're really good a collecting the money, but not that tech savvy. When I told them I'm a streamer they didn't quite understand what I was talking about.

This is the router I have on my Amazon list. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084H58WN...olid=1CAQ8RMDVWMUM&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
