So I'm one of those people who wither don't have the money for a wheel or can't find one, or in my case both. So I play NR2003 with a 360 controller. Works fine on plate tracks as long as I have sensitivity set at about 50 to 60%. But any track where you have to use the brakes to turn at all I just can't find a setting that works. Except for Rockingham, but even then I can only squeeze a 26.5 second lap on cts physics and I haven't even attempted cup, gns or pta yet. Of course, I'm a complete noob at car setups so that might be part of my problem, but I've tried every sensitivity setting I can, including having throttle and braking at 100 and steering assist at at least 50. Part of it is no matter what setting I seem to have the brakes on, they just have too much latency when I press the trigger. So even though I'm timing my button presses with the red part of the braking line (yes I use that) it still acts like I'm braking late and I go flying into the corner way too fast, or I brake early and hit the corner, but lose a ton of speed. I was wondering if any of y'all have any suggestions as to what I might be able to do to remedy this so my driving experience isn't limited to the plate tracks and the Rock?
