OK, so this PC only had 4 gigs of ram, I just added another 4 gigs and Win10 put it reserve, does this mean it uses that memory when needed or does it just sit there unused, is there something I can do to release it, if so what do I do?

P.S. I'll be on and off the P.C. for the next two hours and then to work til 12:30 am central time, so if I don't respond, that's why.

Thanks

OK, next problem, I'm not getting above 15 FPS with rFactor and Race 07 with a 10 car field with graphics set to either low or medium(doesn't make much of a differences in either setting) I have a Widows 10 64 Home, duel core AMD 1.4 Ghz(I have it set that the computer uses both), 8 gigs of ram(with 7.72 usable) and a 1 gig integrated Radeon video card. I feel I should be getting at least 30 FPS with this. I have most of the controls in the video card on program controlled. Set aside getting a new video card which would also mean getting a new power supply, is there anything I can do to improve this?

I've run the gambit of my knowledge and the only thing I can think of is back ground app/programs. I downloaded the latest version of ENDITALL(my favorite program killer) and it can only kill four programs. As I've run out of time to play with this, I leave it to tomorrow to find out if this helps.

I can only think of your graphic settings, resolution, and amount of objects. I am in familiar with both programs you have, so I am not sure what the base specs for each are, what toll they take on a system like yours ect.

Are your driver's up to date?

Yeah, all drivers are up to date. Neither are pulling more the 35% CPU, I minimize the window to see this, is there a program that show that kind of stuff layered over the gaming screen?

The RAM will allow you to load more cars and stuff, but probably not improve performance. It's like a really smart person who can remember 8000 numbers for a second, but can't run a race because he is unfit.

I have a few idea from reading things on other sites, found a tool that might help if I can figure out how to get it to run on Win10 like they say it does.

As I sit and think about when this all started it was two weeks after I started using the computer, that first two weeks I used the installed Windows antivirus, then because it said it wasn't working properly and no updating helped I installed Avast Free and since then my frame rates have been terrible. SO is there another FREE antivirus that is LOW impact out there?

I'm really beginning to think as I try to fix this is all the background programs/apps that Win10 runs that's using up all my CPU and killing my frame rates.
