Greetings all. I hope I am posting this in the correct forum. I absolutely love all the designs here, you guys are great. Here's my question: I have no experience whatsoever is designing schemes, renders, editing software, etc. I am willing to pay someone that could teach me how to create these designs. It would need to be from the very beginning to the end. Would need to know what software programs to get, how to download a template, design it and then turn it into a final product. Pretty simple, huh? If anyone is interested, please let me know. Of if you could lead me in the right direction to get training on this entire process, that would be great. YouTube videos are good, but I can't ask a video a question.

Thanks for your time. be safe. - James

Watch the vids on youtube, write down the question (and what it is your trying to do) then ask in the paint help forum.
Your first paint should be an easy one, most important item to learn is the pen tool, master that and your half way home.
Download a basic template of the mod or your choice. Pick one and stay with it till your done, don't be switching around a lot, gets confusing.

I would suggest you purchase Paint Shop Pro, I've found it to be the easiest to use, and I have all the popular paint programs.

Yes, there are free paint programs out there, but I've found them to be lacking is one aspect or another.

Echoing this. While it's been a bit of time since I've picked up the paint brush, what I can tell you is that starting by studying what's out there on YouTube will point you in the right direction. What I did to start was utilize what a lot of others would consider a "kit car". I took someone else's template, changed the colors around, and worked on adding my own sponsors to make my own.

I agree that Paint Shop Pro is the gold standard when it comes to editing software, but I will also push that unless you can find a free copy (perhaps you may have a friend that is talented in the dark web arts), I would stick to free editing software like GIMP until you become more comfortable painting. PSP can get expensive, and from my perspective, I would hold off on purchasing until you are comfortable with image manipulating software.

I'll go against the PSP suggestion, or maybe not against but just for Photoshop. More users, more tutorials. And you can just get the subscription for a large portion of the Adobe suite instead of forking over a big lump sum for any one program. One thing is for sure, pick the program and stick with it, then master it. While there are some carry overs from one program to another it is a pain to have to relearn things on a new program.

Yes, Andle is right and I forgot to put that in my post also. I’m not that good at painting either but always willing to help anyone willing to put a real effort into learning. It’s a pretty solid community here and you’ll have all the help you’ll need if you aren’t just here to take take take.

I used GIMP back in the day and it wasn’t a bad alternative at all for free.

No.
Speaking as a spokesperson for the Bodgers and Kludgers Union, you can achieve a lot more than is sensible with Paint and GIMP.

Yes... Paint.

Paint? That free program that already comes with Windows and is reviled and shunned by people who know what they are doing. Guess what - I have no idea. I don't care.

Play with what you have. You will end up in interesting and different places.

I'll throw my 2 cents in with paint programs as well. Haivng used most of the big ones like photoshop I found my new home with Affinity Photo. Its powerful, lightweight, and the updates (all free) have been really great. Because its a newer program on the market the tutorial resources they have are pretty great.
