No.
No splitters

The 1985 Thunderbird is the thing which changed everything in NASCAR.

I suspect that the car singularly most responsible for the change in splitters in NASCAR was the 1979 Mazda RX-7 in IMSA GTU.

Resetting splitters back to 1979 would be interesting. Speeds would fall. I also suspect that the newly less aero dependent cars would be less susceptible to producing bore fests at places like Kansas.

If I could only make 1 change right now, I'd take the whole playoff format and throw it right in the trash. No more points resets, no more win-and-you're-in, no more waste of 26 races, no more undeserving champions.

Use Formula One's old points system of 9-6-4-3-2-1

113 Denny Hamlin 4
112 Kevin Harvick 5
81 Chase Elliott 1
73 Brad Keselowski 2
72 Martin Truex Jr. 7
64 Joey Logano 3
57 Kyle Busch 8
56 Ryan Blaney 9
28 Alex Bowman 6
28 Kurt Busch 10

Denny Hamlin wins 2020 by 1 point over Harvick.

That's a far better system.

I think that rather than put more road courses in the schedule., They should have tried to get back Rockingham, Nashville Fairground and even Nazareth PA.
I know that these track's may not even exist, any more. I also know that they use to race at Riverside. They also missed out Laguna Seca, imagen
the Cork Screw.
They may have tried to do all of this, and not have been able, i do not know.
Aussie V8 car's belong on road course. NASCAR stock belong on ovals with a couple of road courese thrown in.
Cheers.

They are trying to get back to Nashville Fairgrounds. The track needs significant work, but it seems clear that NASCAR wants to return to racing there when possible. Nazareth would almost have to be rebuilt from scratch at this point, so that one's out of the question.

Adding more road course venues was the best immediate solution to the stale schedule, but they aren't done yet, apparently.

No playoffs, no charter teams, full season point system and high HP packages (anything above 700HP)

No.
Falcon > Fusion (in all cases)
Commodore > Impala (in all cases)

As for the 2021 Fusion, Falcon, Impala and Commodore... none of those exist.

More watermelon graphics on Ross Chastain's car.

I don't care if it's not a sponsor. A company like Clover which is already green could incorporate some kind of watermelon motif.

'Is it cool?' should be a more massive question than it currently is because every single race fan is still secretly nine years old and wants to look at cool cars on telly.

You might think you're not but you're just lying to yourself.

Your avatar demonstrates the principle.

We talked to Granatelli and everything was chugging along. We agreed on a contract and as we got up to leave he said, ‘By the way, the car will be Day-Glo Red,’ which is STP colors. I said, ‘No way. The car’s got to be Petty Blue.’ I got up to leave. That’s how stubborn I was. And he was pretty stubborn, too.
- Richard Petty

Petty kept 15B0F0 and STP got CC0605 on the cars.

I think that the sweet spot is 600bhp.
That's powerful enough to do 400km/h (258mph) at Le Mans; which should exceed what's reasonable for track safety in NASCAR.
