No.
Not really.
The Law Of Large Numbers says that if you perform an experiment long enough, that any outcome will happen eventually.

An infinite number of monkeys typing on an infinite number of typewriters for an infinite amount of time will produce the entire works of Shakespeare but good luck finding it because you'd have to sort through an infinite amount of paper.

LaJoie probably had everything hooked up perfectly through sheer random; including weather, air density, tyre temperature and pressure, the draught from the car in front...

2021 Southern 500:
Fastest lap - 2021 - 750hp - low downforce package - 29.711s (Corey La Joie).

The power/downforce package still makes diddly-squat difference here.
The cars are harder to drive with the low downforce package - and to me it's make for better racing.

No.
Turtle Kerbs - placing them at right angles to the direction of travel is idiotic and psychotic. NASCAR needs to either invent, grow, or use, a brain. You just don't see this kind of wingnuttery tearing up equipment in other racing series.

Brakes - if the Australian Touring Car Championship worked out how to make brakes last 1000km without needing to be changed more than 40 years ago, then why is NASCAR having brake fade and dead pedal issues in the 21st century? See above.

I guess due to the rotor & pad material? It's still iron/steel?

I kinda laughed when Briscoe said the new brakes are better. I know AP Racing make a great product, but teams have been using AP for years. Maybe 6 pots instead of 4 on the caliper? Maybe now carbon ceramic discs?

Thing to change:

Every track with 2 dates/events must have lights. 1 day race, 1 night race. The Pocono double header maybe not needed.
