Hi guys and gals!
Let's say you have been on a search engine and you want a logo to put on one of your cars. But the logo downloaded as a JPG or like file and it's got a white or colored background around it....But you need it to be transparent...Here is what you do in PS.
First of all, once you have the image loaded on your screen, go to your tools palette and click on the magic wand tool. Here is a screenshot so you see what it looks like.
Now, once you have that enabled, you go to your image and click on select and then select all...Then go to edit and click copy or copy merged. Go to new and click on new file and click OK....Then back to edit and click paste.
Now you are ready to use magic wand. Hover over any part of the colored background you want gone and click. You will see the image selection tool put dotted lines around your image with the colored background selected. Click on edit and then click cut...
Voila you have a transparent PSD image that you can save and/or import into the car you are working on using the transform tools to put it where you want it.
