Tabs out midway through the race, causes it to crash.

I boot up the game just fine, i hit drive and the game works, but midway through the race it will return to desktop. When it does this i reopen it and it crashes. was wondering if there is anything that can be done to fix this? I have enabled DEP and messed with graphics, but there is no warning or anything when it happens.

i found a couple of things off by this standard, i will test it and post in here if its fixed or not.

so i decided to run it in windowed mode, it is freezing for like a second and then working, and itll do it every so often. any ideas at what could be causing it?

Have you tried dropping the graphics quality, meaning turning off some objects and seeing if the problem persists?

use task manager and turn off everything you don't need to run NR2003 then try and see what happens. If you need some help with that, I can meet you on Team Speak sometime.

yes i have, and it still persists. even if i drop the number of cars on track it does.

normally its just nr2003 running. i dont know if its a memory issue, or the disc im using or what. the disc appears to be clean, so i am drawing blanks at to what to change. i used the bullring graphics calculator and everything. Also should i be using the cd or not? should i install a no cd patch to see if it will fix it?

also my sierra logo at startup doesnt stay on, it will disappear and stuff. but Im running windows 8 64 bit. dont know how to fix it, which sucks because i really want to play it. If anyone can help itd be greatly appreciated.
