Pretty local but not in my backyard is Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, California...this week-end they host the Trans Am West Series, gonna be great to see T/A live again...the event is part of the Vintage Auto Racing Association's schedule so it should be great fun...

Not my local track, but it's my sister's local track!!
I could see the Budweiser Balcony section from my sister's front porch. She lives on 80th and Elder, straight down the road.

El Indio Mexican Restaurant has the skypark out back and seeing people fly in, grab their take out and fly away is always neat.

I was out there in 2015 and we went to dinner after the big block bash at El Indio. Great food, good service and great company since all the drivers head there.

My home town oval is Colorado National Speedway. 3/8 mile asphalt, NASCAR sanctioned - http://www.coloradospeedway.com/

I raced there last week in the Military race for Memorial Day weekend. All the sim time made a difference, I think. It was my first real world race (legal, on a track, roll cage, helmet, etc).

The trophy says -
NASCAR Whelen All American Series
Veterans Military Race Division
Winner May 27, 2017

And even if it was in a hornet 4 banger, it was still a race and a boat load of fun!!

My home town drag strip is Bandimere Speedway, host of the MOPAR Mile-Hi Nationals - http://www.bandimere.com/

My home town dirt bike track is Thunder Valley, host of the True Value National (held yesterday) - http://www.tvmx.net/

something that may be of use, this site here has state by state listings of every race track, dragway, and etc. So it's really easy to find tracks near you! (Sorry Canadians, Canada isn't on there :()

My local is Langley Speedway, and I had to go through the process of it potentially closing down for good last year. It was saved and re-opened after a year away, but it was very sad at the time. After Langley, the nearest track to me would be almost 150 miles away.
