Would you guys be interested in a Stunod Pick'em? I might make it work, hopefully.

I know the season has started, but here is how I plan on doing it:

It will be mostly based on the Pick'em rules form SRD. The first race (soon, If I can make it work), everyone will start with 0 points. Members who participated in the 2019 Stunod Pick'em will be considered "Veteran" drivers. Any member who did not participate in the 2019 Season, will be considered "Rookies" for the 2021 season.

In the spoiler below are the modified SRD Pick'em rules which I plan on using:

Each week you select the top five finishers in the overall race results of that weekend's Nascar Cup Series race, as well as the pole sitter of the Nascar Cup Series race, and the winners of that weekend's Nascar Xfinity Series and Nascar Camping World Truck Series events, if they run.

You will earn points based on where your five drivers finished in each Stage of each race.

If you correctly pick the Nascar Cup Series race's Pole Winner, it's 4 points. A correct pick for the winner of the Nascar Camping World Truck Series and Nascar Xfinity Series races earns you 7 points for each.

If any of your drivers finish in the top 5 overall, you'll get 1 point a piece. If any of your drivers finish where you predicted them to in the top 5 after the Final Stage, you earn 6 points a piece. A correct Cup winner earns you 9 extra points.

The Pick'em winner each week will earn 5 playoff points that will carry forward into the playoffs. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers will also receive 1 playoff point each. In case of a tie for 1st, the player declared the race winner will receive 5 playoff points. The loser(s) of the tiebreaker will receive 1 playoff point. In the case of a tie for 2nd or 3rd, all players involved in the tie will receive 1 playoff point. The points leader at the end of the regular season will earn 15 playoff points, 2nd place 10, 3rd place 8, 4th place 7, 5th place 6, decreasing by 1 point per position through 10th place.

Here's a sample weekly pick:

These are jgegner's Pocono Race 1 picks from 2010...adjusted for the new for 2017 system (***Note: Stage finishing positions below are meant as example only. No stage finishing records were kept before so nobody really knows what would have been the finishing outcomes of each stage.)

Truck Winner: Ron Hornaday (NO GOOD...possible +7)

Nationwide: Brad Keselowski (GOOD...+7)

Cup Pole: Ryan Newman (NO GOOD...possible +4)

1st: Jimmie Johnson (Finished 1st in Stage 1...+10, Finished 8th in Stage 2...+3, Finished 5th overall...+36...+1 point for putting him in the top 5)
2nd: Kurt Busch (Finished 12th in Stage 1...+0, Finished 9th in Stage 2...+2, Finished 6th overall...+35)
3rd: Denny Hamlin (Finished 5th in Stage 1...+5, Finished 2nd in Stage 2...+9, Finished 1st overall...+40...+1 point for putting him in the top 5)
4th: Kevin Harvick (Finished 2nd in Stage 1...+9, Finished 10th in Stage 2...+1, Finished 4th overall ...+37...+1 point for putting him in the top 5...+6 points for picking him in his correct finishing position)
5th: Tony Stewart (Finished 18th in Stage 1...+0, Finished 12th in Stage 2...+0, Finished 3rd overall...+38 points)

TOTAL: 241

Your Regular Season point total will be based on your best 18 of 26 races.

The playoffs will be made up of 16 players who qualify based on relevant criteria described below. If you are outside of the playoffs, your best 18 of 36 races will count towards your point total, as you compete for 17th place in points.

When do your picks need to be submitted by each week?

All picks must be submitted by the scheduled green flag time that is posted every week with the opening of a new race's thread. The start times are always posted each week to ensure everybody is very clear as to when all picks need to be submitted by.

This is how the playoffs will work:

The regular season champion plus the top 15 with the most wins will earn a spot in the Pick'em Series Playoffs, provided they have entered 18 or more races and are in the top 40 in the final regular season standings. Ties in amount of wins will be broken by overall points.

If there are fewer than 16 race winners with 18+ starts in the top 40 of the regular season (first 26 races) standings, playoff positions will be awarded to those who are highest in points. If there is a tie in points, the player with more playoff points will be awarded the playoff position.

If there are more than 16 race winners with 18+ starts in the top 40 of the regular season (first 26 races) standings, playoff positions will be awarded to those with the most wins who are highest in points. If there is a tie in points, the player with more playoff points will be awarded the playoff position.

The points will be reset. Everyone will be set at 7000 points, with all of their playoff points added to that total.

Beginning playoff totals will be made up of...

- 7000 points
- Playoff points accrued during the regular season

Races 27-29: Round of 16
Should anyone in the playoffs win a Round of 16 race, the win earns an automatic advancement to the next round. After those in the playoffs who've won a Round of 16 race, those in the playoffs highest in points will be used to make up a field of 12 who will advance to the next round. Playoff points will be the tiebreaker. The field of 12 who advance will have their points reset to 8,000, plus playoff points.

Those who made the playoffs but did not advance to the next round will simply continue to earn points for the remainder of the playoffs. Their final point total will be based on their best 7 of 10 playoff races.

Races 30-32: Round of 12
Should anyone in the top 12 win a Round of 12 race, the win earns an automatic advancement to the next round. After those in the top 12 who've won a Round of 12 race, those in the playoffs highest in points will be used to make up a field of 8 who will advance to the next round. Playoff points will be the tiebreaker. The field of 8 who advance will have their points reset to 9,000, plus playoff points.

Those eliminated after the Round of 12 will have their points reverted back to their original playoff reset total plus points earned in the first 6 playoff races, and will continue to earn points for the remainder of the playoffs. Their final point total will be based on their best 7 of 10 playoff races.

Races 33-35: Round of 8
Should anyone in the top 8 win a Round of 8 race, the win earns an automatic advancement to the next round. After those in the top 8 who've won a Round of 8 race, those in the playoffs highest in points will be used to make up a field of 4 who will advance to the next round. Playoff points will be the tiebreaker. The field of 4 who advance will have their points reset to 10,000. No additional points will be awarded.

Those eliminated after the Round of 8 will have their points reverted back to their original playoff reset total plus points earned in the first 9 playoff races, and will continue to earn points for the remainder of the playoffs. They will also have their lowest 2 playoff race scores dropped to align them with the rest who've been eliminated from the playoffs and are now competing for 5th-16th place. Their final score will be based on their best 7 of 10 playoff races.

Race 36: Championship Four
The results from this race will determine the Pick'em Series Champion. The highest finisher of the remaining 4 championship eligible players will be the Pick'em Series Champion. Subsequently, 2nd-4th of the remaining 4 championship eligible players will finish 2nd-4th in the final Pick'em standings.

5th-16th place will be determined by all points earned during the playoffs. Playoff points will be the first tiebreaker.

Rookie of the Year Award
Beginning in Daytona, Rookie points will parallel the season long championship point standings. Every point a rookie scores in the championship battle will now also count towards determining the Rookie of the Year at season's end. All points will count including playoff points which will serve as a tiebreaker if needed. The rookie who scores the most points at the end of 36 races will be crowned Rookie of the Year.
