I am the owner and @Smoke14 is the Co-Owner. I still don't know which server to use, but Smoke14 said he knew someone who can get a server. Also, which run a testing session. For the people afraid of Open setups, there is always the easy, fast, jasper, expert, and qualify setups there. Everything is good, we just need the schedule, more people. a server, and the archive file that has all the required tracks and paint schemes.

Like I said in my first reply to this thread, you guys should have had all this worked out before you even thought about asking for signups. Did you heed that advice, no, you just saw the part about a server.

This is what you should do for your first on-line series.

10 races, fixed set ups, mixed tracks, default cars, I would start with a car that has cts physics(use default sim physics) and medium damaged. 8 pm start time, one hour practice, qualify, 20 to 25 length races. And one thing I forgot in my original post a must have is voice comms, Ventrilo or TeamSpeak are the best. As for the day you should hold your league races, Sunday usually works best for most people. Use in sim rules and points, make this as easy to run the first time out and it will be fun, people will come back for the next season.

From 14 years of on-line racing I can tell you that if it's not fun no one will come back.

GNS is easier to drive. Plus, I never thought of thinking before making the series. Only thing I knew is to make a most NASCAR-like league. But, I see what you mean.

From an on-line point of view, the CTS is easier, I've done far more on-line with that package then any other. Just ask Dale Jr.

CTS will draw more drivers. I don't know why but it does. I have ran a league in the past and I have been part of leagues recently.
Fixed setup is always the best option for drawing people in as well

Hmm. Let me ask the co-owner. If he agrees, cts and fixed it is.

The question is do you want to succeed or fail? If you want to succeed then you should listen to the advice of people who've been doing this longer than you. But hey, by all means do what you want, it's your league, but then you'll also know where to look when you fail, this thread will still be here.

I would do fixed sets, it keeps everyone on an even keel and it just makes it easier to identify cheaters.

And you do know there are more than just trucks using the CTS psychics.
