Hi,
I'm not figuring this one out.
Installed Redline GTP on Windows11, ran it went to drive the car clicked
Drive and it crashed.
Disabled DEP, same thing happening.

I've done everything the right way. I first used a different directory than
nr2003 which was on my C/: I used my E/: that I installed, this didn't matter
did the same exact thing, I switched it to C/: and is doing the same thing, so I have already installed twice.

I am not seeing any answers out there other that Disable DEP which I did in the BIOS.

Thanks for your help
Steve

Sorry I meant Alcohol 120. If you are serious about loading Redline GTP the instructions are pretty straight forward. The MOD works on Windows 11 just fine.

Solution

Hi,
First this is not my solution I am not taking credit for it.
The problem was turning off DEP.

In the Command Prompt:
If you use: bcdedit.exe / set {current} nx AlwaysOff
and that works then you are all set.

If as in my case it doesn't work because TMP.exe was the crash event.
In the Command Prompt you use;
bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff

Apparently the {GUID} {current} ruins the command.

It works great now, I was sure I did everything right the first time and I did,
I was lucky to find this fix. I am going to try to turn DEP back on to see if it
will still work after I already ran the sim. I may update this post.

If using the above works for you that is great.
The problem you might run into, for instance on Windows 11 I had to go into BIOS and disable Secure Boot before I
could turn off DEP, problem being that the sim ran fine but
after Enabling Secure Boot again it turned DEP back on again so if I wanted to run the sim again I would have to go through the whole process again, but if it works for you without doing the process again that's great, I am now currently trying to use the .iso file method but that is not working, I am using my physical cd.
