I need to get my butt in gear and actually complete this damn carset! So, I'm going to try a fun little game - I'm going to post a completed car a day (in numerical order starting with 00) and see if I can't stay ahead of the curve! This will be pretty interesting when I get to the 30s and 40s where I have some big gaps, lol.

1 picture per number right now - there are plenty of secondary schemes with this set but I'm going to focus on showing the primary ones here.

To kick things off - 'Buckshot' Jones making his Winston Cup debut with a single race in 1997. His sponsor from the Busch Series carried over but with a unique paint scheme that he would continue to run in 1998.

I hate to be picky with the details, but the Snap-On needs a small addition. In '97-'00 the logo had a small 'ASE' logo on there.

You'll be forever making extra cars, he starts the year with 1 AC Delco on the B pillar and the ends with 4. Contingencies change here & there along with RCR in the headlight/without etc lol

Ah! Is that what that little circle is. I always assumed it was just a REALLY prominent registered copyright emblem. Lol

And I stuck with the basics for '97. Goodwrench Hood. Plus Hood. Wheaties from The Winston and the ACDelco from Suzuka. No sense going insane!

Me too! lol

And yeah, I used to say that about carsets too, then I started working on the 1989 cars lol

It's great to see them made.

Over the years, during different seasons... normally the backmarkers/field fillers don't have much TV time/photos taken etc
That is definitely the problem I'm having with some of them. I have a great photo of Purvis' car from practice at Indy - but they hadn't applied any of the race sponsor decals yet. And bassed on some tv footage shots I know the hood was QVC - and the quarters said 'gazelle' on them - but I have no idea what gazelle referred to back then nor what the logo looked like. Ditto for the following races when his sponsor was Opryland USA. So, I just went with the unsponsored ride and racers can use their imagination
