Even though I kinda like the full wraparound better, I would take the raced version in the game for sure. That's a pretty interesting scheme that I never knew about until now.

I've been playing around with presentation recording and narration using OBS at work the last few weeks - just installed it on my home PC and decided to try something a little different with it. @Petty4345 is car#3 on your checklist as well? ;)

Yes it was but I'll happily take it off now. I started it but haven't touched it in almost 2 years. lol So awesome to see one finished and you do a hell of a job recreating these schemes. Great work on all of them and happy to see this being done since I don't have the time so all good bud. ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

I would definitely say raced version. But I have to ask, why not both?
Not bad mouthing anyone because I fully understand the hosted space issue - but management has spoken to me privately before about posting different versions of a car that are "not distinct enough from each other" to warrant multiple uploads.

I've tried posting a few where the qualifying and race variants had slightly different decals or number colors and was asked to only post one or the other.

The most curious thing about it to me is the placement of Buzz in front of the numbers on the sides - and how they just completely excluded 90% of the contingency decals for this race. Neither the paint scheme on the #94 nor the one on the #26 for this race did this.

That's an understandable reason, but there are ways around this, such as hosting the download yourself and simply posting a link to it in the downloads section (mediafire is a great way to do this). You could also upload cars that you are not able to upload here to another place.

I'm not trying to suggest you shouldn't upload here, nor am I trying to push that you post this particular car, but it seems to me that if you put the work into it and want to share it, you should.

that's why i stopped painting on them a few years ago aside from a paint here and there. the models, proportions and the templates (shoutout to the back being split into 3 pieces. thanks EA!) make the mod such a pain to paint on

the proportions of the hood, roof and sides on the templates don't match the actual models and it's really frustrating. you have to stretch out everything just to get them to look right

Yeah, that exactly what I'm finding. It's like, get the hood graphic the way you want it.... and then stretch it 150% in height....

Might just go work on the original cup models instead

That's why most of my paints are focused on Cup90. Heck, I personally don't like painting on the Cup98 either. The curved rear bumpers, and jagged flaws in the lower QP's and C pillars, Highly inaccurate nose geometry on the Thunderbird, the awkwardly angled grill shapes on the pontiac. Not that I am unappreciative of the mod makers and their efforts. I just wish they had took some extra time to polish those details and maybe not rush the Thunderbird model.

in fairness, i think the cup98 was Cosmin's first attempt at mod making but as someone who was a part of the painting crew, yeah they were a pain to paint on lol

the contigs were my biggest struggle but even with all of its flaws, it's still one of my favorite mods
